Finally, we are approved with the Inglourious Basterds Manta Lab Exclusive Steelbook. We've been working on this release since last September (not 2018) and took us 1 year to finally get the rights, design and final approval for this movie. It is one of our favorite movies of all time from Tarantino so we hope we've done a good job with the package. We had a plan to start the pre-order for this movie in late October but due to our recent late production and delay with the previous releases, we have decided to put on a hold until we finish all shipping up to The Shape of Water. I thought the whole title spelt wrong was a known thing since it first came out

Im with you i better love have 3 fullslip with so amazing finish on it than 2 lenticular slip and 1 fullslip

Most steelbook listings on HMV and Zavvi for 4K says “includes 2D” etc

It’s separate discs and you always get the standard blu day discs with them

but never for single disc releases, right?

I understand what you're saying and I agree. But that's just the way they state it. The mention of 2D is referring to the disc. Not the Lenticular image.

The second I see it on all beauty shots I just assumed they meant the disc but I did find it odd it was placed on the slip section on them all.
But still assumed they meant the discs

after giving it a bit of a crit above , i promised myself i would watch this again before GB's end to decide if i still felt the same way, and how distracting i found my less favourite bits. watched it again yesterday. seems my view of that aspect has mellowed - well, a little - or at least sufficient when combined with the bits i love to go for a Full Slip (my second FS in a row from Manta). i'm not sure it's his 'masterpiece,' as Aldo says, but it's definitely worth a purchase.

so... i'll get on with eating my humble pie...

I'm guessing the hardest thing to get approved was the back art of the full slip as it appears to me that it perhaps never existed. All the other is pieces of approved art prior. Front full slip was a poster.

No idea what I'd go for here. All the Nova Tarantinos I have are full slips, but I don't really like this full slip.

but 4K is also 2D...just seems weird to state it, and the way its written makes out like its relating to the slip


but its NEVER(to my knowledge and certainly never with titles I've ordered) been specificed as 2D when its a single disc edition....so its set alarm bells ringing for me is all.

I hope you are both right but I'd like some confirmation from @Aniv or the retailer if possible, before I pull the trigger on the sale

2D has nothing to do with the packaging. They refer to FHD/1080p Blu-ray as 2D. Double/Single Lenti is 3D.

As mentioned above, and elsewhere, its the odd placeing(and for me, the overall mention) of the 2D that had me in a bit of a converned tizzy.
All sorted...now a return to the regular scheduled programming. lol
