Well looks like this is matte finished, bye bye order!

Just see that in the French thread which is a shame and I'm shocked it's not gloss, but the matte does look like a decent finish and still seems bright.
The black steelbook is such a weird and cheap choice for them. Don't suit the film at all lol oh well

Yep! order cancelled 5 mins ago. Looks terrible. I don't do matte.

Didnt look that good after watching the french thread. Feels pretty cheap with so little art and with matte finish.
Still going to keep the order though I think, really enjoyed the movie. Or maybe just go amaray.. I dont know yet.

Edit:
After watching "Pics of last steel"-thread though, it looks better. The back is also debossed/embossed and we dont see that very often.

Going by the photos from other threads, I think it looks like a pretty decent steelbook... only downside is that it's matte, but then so are a lot of other steels, so I can live with it.

Would of preferred the white Zavvi temp artwork to the black. Also should have been gloss to show off the colours. Still looks decent enough though and I personally loved the movie so will still keep my pre-order.

I've messaged Zavvi about updating/confirming the artwork on their site and pointed out they did the same thing with Maleficent (and the problems it caused), so will see if they reply with anything constructive, will post here if I hear anything.

About time the art was updated, and it isn't a surprise, but I am surprised it still doesn't show the back or inside art (neither does Ant-Man)

I also got a reply from zavvi regarding the message I sent last Friday (see post #288) here is the reply I got :

Hello Mr Y Fronts (not real name !),

Thank you for getting in touch.

We do state on our website that the artwork is subject to change.

We do not intend to mislead our customers but this depends on the different artwork received from our suppliers.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Kind regards,
Cristina

Blah Blah, blah..... Obviously with the amount of email they got, someone actually did something.

Pretty steelbook
Love that spine and I can live without a title on this occasion.
Really looking forward to receiving my copy.
Should look just fine in a "Tomorrowland" finish:)

As expected, the list of countries (so far) with the black artwork (though not as many as "Genisys")is :-
- the U.K.
- Australia
- France
- Portugal
- S. Korea (KD Media)
- Taiwan
As most will no doubt know the last two have slipcovers/slipcases and from what I can make out the Korean has a translucent slip with partial design on it in the Mondo or "Cinderella" etc. style.
The Taiwan on the other hand has what appears to be a white non-translucent slipcover/slipcase with circular central 'window' to reveal the roundel containing the characters.

EDIT: Just checked out some of the French in-hand copies on the auction site and there looks to be a fair amount of embossing and/or de-bossing going on with the characters front and back

I don't know if the French title "Vice Versa" (from the Latin meaning relations being reversed and used to mean in reversed order or the other way around) is any more appropriate for this film as I haven't watched it yet but I wonder how the French title the other four or more English language films with the same "Vice Versa" title (including one silent from 1916, one from 1937, one from 1948 with the marvellous Roger Livesey of "Colonel Blimp" fame, and the most familiar of the bunch from 1987 with Judge Reinhold of "Beverley Hills Cop" fame and a pre "Wonder Years" Fred Savage) ?

Literal translations of "Inside Out" for the French and Spanish editions would have been a bit clunky IMO compared with what was decided upon:-
France - "Vice Versa" instead of "A L'Envers"
Spain - "Del Reves" instead of "Lo De Dentro Fuera"

still don't know why they went with black which makes the artwork looks dull, preferred this to be bright white (as TH, TW slipcover) or GT artwork

... oh boy I'm counting the day for the inevitable Blufans versions...

The black is awful but I will still prob keep my order to finish off the Pixar line to date.

Should of been white like the mock up and I'm just use to no title spines now on new Disney releases so no point getting my hopes up anymore unless we are the only country getting it

Wish it had the title on the spine. It'll stand out too much next to my Incredibles steel. Might cancel it, I'll have a little think.
