I've been reluctant about buying any of the Marvel Universe steels since once you own one it's too tempting to go back and buy the others despite their inflated prices. But I may need to take the plunge on this one.

How can it be identical to the German Amazon one when Concorde releases them in Germany and Paramount over here?? Has to be different like the previous two movies on Steelbook.

I was using Avengers as an example. I just made the assumption that IM3 was being released through the same distributors over there as they're both Paramount and the steelbooks for Avengers were identical throughout Europe atleast.

Depends on the Distributors in each Country i guess!
In Germany Iron Man 3 is distributed by Concorde... So possibly different Artwork!?!

I hope this zavvi exclusive will be similar to the play exclusive SBs for Iron Man and Iron Man 2!!!

It might not.

The UK release will be by Disney (featuring the Paramount logo like Avengers Assemble), and I half expect it to have the mainly gold armour on the front in some stoic pose. The German release is by Concord and (unless it changes) has Tony Stark surfing on the front. The US viva box (or whatever it was) has The Avengers on it, most of the rest of the World got a textless steelbook regardless of whether it was The Avengers or Avengers Assemble.

Anyway, the point is this. Accepting they were released at different times, the German edition of Iron Man didn't look like the FS version. The Play.com version didn't look like either of them. The German IM2 didn't look like the Korean version and again, the Play.com version didn't look like either of them.

If it's a worldwide release by the same company then I'd say yes, the chances of them looking identical are pretty high. However, as said, Iron Man has a couple of distributors so variation is more likely.

All the Sony releases of Resident Evil: Retribution were the same (excluding J-cards etc.) but there was also a Metropolitian release, and one with Milla Jovovich infront of the Umbrella logo from Constantin Releasing.

I know there are many Iron Man fans out there who will buy to complete there collection - ill give this one a miss. The movie was very average and at that price - no thanks.

I'm more confident in Zavvi pushing for unique artwork and/or finishes for IM3 than I would be with Entertainment Store.

Watch this space....I have high hopes for this release.
