I'm excited to see what this is going to be, in terms of embossing. I have yet to see IM3, and i'm hearing a lot of negative talk on it, but i'll get this SB purely for completion value.

Do we know if this 27.99 price is for real, or will it drop as we get closer to release day?

So you read that quote from Wreck at the top of the page then?

The film is very good. Thats why its now the 5th biggest earner ever!
Some people don't like it because to them it's not an "Iron Man" film. Perhaps you should see it first before spending more money then the price of a cinema ticket on a steelbook.

I like it. It's got some great jokes. It's not a normal superhero film. The story is a little unusual, Some people have accused the makers of "Disney-fying" the film because it has a kid but if you have seen Last Boy Scout or nearly any other Shane Black film thats exactly what he doesn't do.

I actually missed Wreck's bit about the price. Thanks for pointing that out, though. :)

As far as these Steelbooks go, i buy them for the sake of buying them, as well as completion value. If i end up hating it, it can always be sold for close to what i paid, if not more than what i paid for it.

I wrote off the theater back when Avatar first came out, and haven't set foot in one since. I suppose it's the area i live in, but going to a theater is just not worth it for me, anymore. Paying $9-$10 to sit in a small space with nothing but annoying teenagers with cell phones around you, young couples with screaming babies, not to mention the fact that they seemingly haven't updated their damn hardware in forever...i'd rather wait for the Blu, and watch it on my 65" Panny.

I do see your point, however. I suppose i just don't mind spending the extra money to avoid freaking out at people in a theater. :ohno:

Always look at the top of the page! Thats why I like this forum alot. All the buying info is at the top of each page. Unlike some forums where you look at the first page for the sales details and then go to the last page for the latest info.

I can understand not going to the cinema. Even though I have a 52inch Sony and 5.1 I didn't want my first time seeing Star Trek into Darkness being on that. And i'm not talking about watching 3-D.

For me it's to do with timing and location. I saw Fast & Furious 6 at my local Westfield mall as I wanted to see that with a crowd. I saw ZDT on a monday morning with 7 other people because I wanted to pay attention to the story.
Ironically the people who ruined that film were old people. They talked through the beginning titles because they thought the projector was broken because there was sound and no picture! Heaven forbid a filmmaker try something new.

Then his phone went off and they had an arguement about that.

The cinema is part of the movie lovers experience for me. I had an unlimited card when I was back in the UK and it really IS the greatest. I believe he said $10 though so he wouldn't be in the UK ;)

What? Because I said she was fat? Or because I agreed with the previous posters opinion that elderly people are the worst at the cinema?

I'm struggling to see how any of that can be taken as offensive.

I didn't say old people were the worst in the cinema. These particular people were in this particular showing.
All sorts of people are annoying. Age might be a factor but in the end that might not matter.

Thats why my best cinema experience was watching MacGruber all on my todd!
