What???

Right side circled in green is ok, there is some depth between the front red metal and the pattern behind.

Left side circled in red is bad, it looks like some bad opacity blending and as we can see from the top right the texture of the metal which is painted red is not at all patterned and is more brushed steel effect why the the left side made to look like the red is painted onto the strange pattern below and worn off.

I hope that makes sense to you lot as this art looks tard to me!!!!

You can see from the art which has been used for posters and the German SB that the pattern is the bottom most layer of the IM suit, so really does not work when done in the style which is shown on the left side of the art above.

Iron Man's face or head should be on the front. This is mandatory and common sense as it will match the previous releases. Generic design like Avengers doesn't make sense.

Tbh i love this art, either this is a stock photo or the Spanish one is because Wreck said Zavvi have exclusive art. I would say that the Spanish art is going to change as Zavvi have always uploaded the correct art and never had to change it, so imo this is our exclusive art and the rest of the world will have somethibg different...

I like this artwork. It's minimal, but you can still tell what it's supposed to be.

I generally hate the Iron Man 2 artwork, and hoped that they would return to something more iconic like Iron Man 1. I personally hate any artwork that has the image of the actor on the front, as it seems lazy and poorly designed (that goes for any SteelBook which features a picture of the actor on the front). The best ones are always the ones that have unique artwork created specifically for that release!

If not this artwork, I would have wanted something similar to Iron Man 1 but with Iron Patriot instead

Well that artwork was never official, not proper mockups like this. A bit like Reservoir Dogs had that rubbish image before they updated it.

If Wreck says it is exclusive artwork then if I were a betting man, I would bet on Wreck

I would also say there is a snowballs chance in hell that Zavvi are displaying the actual sale price before release. They are not going to be selling it for 27.99

So In 1 Week, Zavvi have:

1. Raised prices (again)
2. Raised quantity.
3. Re-releasing probably the two biggest UK steelbooks (after they already did Star Trek)
4. Failed to match most collectors (I think) number one thing on the wishlist, match Iron man 3 with 1 & 2.

(not to mention some artwork choices, lack of gloss and paint chips)

Can't wait for next week!

I don't hate this artwork, it just doesn't match how I would like it to.
Especially with no title... I'm wondering if a title will be added as it's very rare for a UK steel not to have one.


To answer some questions around me...
It states 1 Disc and does not say 3D so highly doubtful it will have 3D.
Zavvi usually drop their price by £5 when it goes live so expect this to be £22.99.
And when Wreck said it would be different artwork, he might have just meant of the artwork he had seen so far as I believe this artwork came up after... but I'm sure he will confirm soon.

Obviously enough people as it's been commented on.

It's just lazy designing, or technically wrong. It's as bad as the shell casing (which isn't fired from a gun) imbedded into a wall (with the impact force coming from the other side) on the back of the forthcoming Die Hard steelbook.

1) it looks poor
2) it's not even technically accurate
3) it smacks of lazy designing
