Same reason as it was with The Avengers.

As part of the deal with Marvel, Disney agreed that Paramount would keep their branding on The Avengers and IM3 and get a % of the profits as well as upfront payment (you'll notice the Paramount logo was also at the beginning of both movies with the Disney one only appearing at the end as a distributor). It also created consistancy, as well as Disney themselves not wanting people to think that the Marvel movies would suddenly become Disneyfied.

Thor: The Dark World will be the first one to only feature the Disney logo on the movie and packaging.

I like the look of the steelbook I think it's very nice however I do think the price is crazy and it is abit annoying its not going to fit in with the play iron mans

I have to say I love the look of this and don't really care about 2D/3D/Extras. I've stated before that I collect the steels of the movies I love and that owning something just for the sake of having it doesn't appeal to me. If the lack of extras wears me down I could simply take out the meagre Blu they supply and replace with a jam packed version. The thing I want the most is this superb looking steel. Isn't that the most important aspect of Steelbooks? Just adding 2p...

Definitely but it doesn't change the fact that its way over priced for a single disc release, i'm not a fan of 3D so would rather have steelbooks without it but only at the right price.

I think at £23.99 it should have the 3D disc plus any other extras that will be in the amaray version !

Bah. Just got fed up with this title and the price and the lack of exclusivity and lobbed the 3 copies I ordered in an hysterical moment when it was released, back into circulation. There are better films / steelbooks to spend that kind of money on I think
