Not necessarily. It's a bit of Zavvi and Disney. I'm sure Wreck mentioned that Disney basically put a price up and if a certain retailer doesn't want it to sell it at that price they move on to one who will.

Zavvi agreed to price (whether through gritted teeth like TLM or TJB or not) so they have to take some flak but if it wasn't them then [insert retailer here] would have taken it.

From a business standpoint it would have been foolish to turn this down from Disney as it'll sell loads. Anyone thinking they have an obligation to collectors is wrong. Business is business.

I've seen a few people saying that they're going to cancel their Zavvi copy and go for the Amazon Italy version instead. I just checked it out and their version translates to £27 and also says one disc in the description. Can someone tell me what I'm missing?!

Definitely canceled now. Waiting to see what amazon.de and the rest of the world come up with.

might have something to do with the italian one having 3D, so for another £3.01 you get 3D and most probably 2D as well, bit of a better deal than zavvi

Italy version appears to be 2D + 3D (according to the "3D" shown in the image of the slipcover). It is believed that 1 disc will hold both versions of the film.

Zavvi is confirmed to be 2D only.

As it stands, Italy is the only IM3 steelbook that includes 3D.

However, we haven't heard from Canada or USA yet.

How can you not know the artwork of something you've ordered??? Germany's is completely different and will probably have a printed back.

As mentioned before the German Steelbook is being distributed by Concorde not Paramount/Disney , so I very much doubt the artwork will be the same

of course its not that limited.. its a new release therefore its probably 10k-15k+
and 100k+ worldwide.. much like thor and captain america.. except that this steelbook looks weak

Will be cancelling my 3 copies (with discount) and opt for one copy, was hesitant and ordered 3 when it went live with all the hype circulating, just realised I will not be able to afford 3 at that price with all the other releases coming along thick and fast and I doubt anyone will want to trade as I'm sure there will be plenty available

Well this Blu-ray Steelbook is their number one seller at the moment, beating out the Amaray 3D version. I guess if it's doing so well, lowering the price is going to be far from their minds.
