As i said before in a post, the 3D for iron man 3 was produced in post production and the 3D is barely noticeable, i wouldnt worry about this in 3D.

Recommended titles in 3D:
Avatar
Life of Pi (highly recommended)
Avengers assemble
Captain America
Thor
Pirates of the caribbean on stranger tides
I-Robot
Journey 2 (film is meh, but 3D is quite good)
Green Lantern
Alice in Wonderland
Titanic

Out of all the 3D films you've recommended there, only Avatar, POTC, Journey 2 and The Life Of Pi were shot in real 3D. The rest were 'only converted in post production' the same as Iron Man 3. So it's a bit hypocritical to say to people 'not to worry about it'.

Wether the 3D is good or not, I always buy the 3D version of the fim to complete my 3D collection as I'm sure a lot of other collectors do. The bottom line is, the 3D should be included in a premium priced item like Zavvi's Steelbook.

+1 to that

Im well aware they were converted to 3D, but they were converted very well were as iron man 3 is a prime example of lazy post-production 3D. Nothing hypocritical about it as Iron man in 3D was as poop as Clash of the titans.

Why would zavvi charge between £10-20 for this? It will be a new release bluray and most new release blurays are between £15-£20. For it being a disney release i would say its cheap, as usually to buy most disney products you need to sell your house.

I've asked this already a few million posts back!

But is there any way we could confirm if Zavvi's will be the only embossed version of this steelbook? Surely someone somewhere must know??

I'd agree, I did see this in 3D at the movies and was nowhere near what I expected (esp having seen The Avengers in 3D on release, which was awesome!). But for the premium price, anyone would expect a 3D disc.

I dont see the problem, was just stating how awful and lazy there efforts with iron man 3D was. Dont see why people would care for owning the 3D disc, its not worth anything, just a waste of space in the steelbook. Would rather have 1 disc and see more art

I care as i really enjoy my 3D and i will judge for myself how rubbish it is once i have seen it, i have always believed that Steelbooks are the premium product and should include all discs and extras available, it may not matter to you but it certainly annoys me and i totally disagree with you about being a waste of space LOL. There will always be a difference of opinion with 3D but at this price point the 3D disc should be included.

Im a 3D nut, but i dont purchase or keep 3D films that arent worth the dollar i paid for it. As you said people will have different opinions on 3D for different films, i respect yours, so please respect mine. ;)

It's not about opinion on 3D, but that every consumer should get the maximum package for his/her money. IMO that's a fact. And like sgray9806 said: a steelbook is premium treatment. So it's reasonable to expect every possible version of the movie to be included. If there should be an extended cut of this, I would also expect that in this package for this price.

If I figure out that Iron Man 3 in 3D is crap, I can decide to sell the 3D Disc on ebay myself. Why should I leave Zavvi the desicion whether to include the 3D Disc or not for this price?

Thank the sweet, chubby, omnipotent baby Jesus. Here's a post, written by a man with some common sense.

i think it's bad enough to overcharge us this amount for the SB the very least they could have done is give us a 3D disk! Contemplating cancelling my zavvi order and sticking with one of the other versions.

The way i see it is Zavvi are just ripping people off, this way people who collect steelbooks and 3d movies will have to pay out twice, i sometimes do buy both but i would only bye the exclusive steelbook from zavvi and i would buy the 3d version from ebay or somewhere else when the price goes down a little.
