Never seen this in hand but after i picked up the play.com release i have never had the desire, i think the play art is better

This steelbook has one thing that annoys me, the Blue strip with the blu ray logo across the top, it ruins the look.

lol I still have iron mand and indian jones and IMO they are the worst in my collection. I never liked the blue banner on the top. I didnt even know they were even rare until I joined this site. I thought they would be the least sought ones.

All you guys have to do is petition Zavvi to re-release the IRON MAN SteelBook with the Future Shop art.

There's nothing to say that they cannot re-release it and they probably would if they had the sales figures guaranteed.

However, I think the Play.com version does look better.

play.com had intended using the futureshop artwork until someone had a word in their ear about how it would effect collectors

No one from the HDN Staff believes that the original art of grails like this should ever should be reused. While the retailer and studio have the final say on product release decisions, work has occurred for years behind the scenes, and continues to occur daily, to help preserve the original releases as much as humanly possible. No petition will be started here.

The fact that the Play exclusive is only 1 disc kills it for me, and the IM2 art inside seals the deal. I'll take a Blu banner and 2 discs any day. That said, I won't pay the silly prices people pay for Iron Man steels anyway, so it will never matter.

I'd be totally fine with a mass-produced re-release with solid artwork all-around and a 2-disc tray, ala the newest Dark Knight (it took forever to get a banner-free TDK with inside art and 2 discs).
