This one is a worldwide exclusive, meaning WEA. That also means it will likely have a minimum print run of around 3k or more. Hopefully, with the right order limits per customer, everyone will have the chance to grab a copy before it sells out (obviously there will always be some who miss out).

So even if they split 1500/1500 or 1000/2000 between the 2 versions it still gives everyone a bit longer to bag a copy if they are at a computer.

Gonna be exciting though!! :thumbs::happy:

Hope you're right as usual - had a major panic when I thought I'd missed out on Memento; but luckily that second wave saved me :)

Sometimes wish we got more of a heads up though . . .

Seriously, for whatever reason, some of us missed some of the earlier ones and where facing GIGANTIC eBay prices just to own ONE! It is nice to have another shot and NOT pay $200+!! (there was one guy on the bay listing one for over $1k!)

Yup, I saw that $1k listing and laughed. I'm glad Kimchi and Blufans are releasing IM1 and at an affordable rate. It will sell well.

Hehe;) That made me laugh. :p

I believe they have upgraded now though. ;) Worked fine for those who ordered X-Men I think.

I also chuckled, but I'd like to point out that way more people are interested in IM than DOFP... I heard positive things about the DOFP ordering process, but it's gonna be an interesting experience with IM lol. Kimchi will get it right this time. There's of course the possibility of having a HDN GB too :)

Oh, I agree. This one's gonna be insane, lol! I have serious doubts that the new/upgraded servers will handle it. ;) It will be interesting for sure!

Kimchi should have opted for a different looking LENTI, it's way too similar to Blufans. The extras included with this title make it a must own. IMO, the most impressive thing I've seen is that awesome quarter slip. What an excellent job by Kimchi.

Agree about the Lenti

I usually only pick one version of a steelbook to own, but looking at this version, that might just have to go out the window. :p

I much prefer the BF artwork. The front seems a little dark to me.
Of course, you never know until it's in hand (unfortunately). Example: recent buyer's pictures of Zavvi's MANHUNTER make it look like the slipcover art (or steelbook art itself) has a delineation of the tattoo art in the light.
Hard to tell. The Iron Man art may not look so dark in hand...
I'll probably get both, and if dissatisfied with one, pass it on to someone who wants and appreciates it...:D

From what I experienced on the X-Men DOFP pre-order, the servers have been upgraded sufficiently

Iron Man will test them again, but it can't be any worse than in the past

I noticed it to be quicker, but definitely not quick. Any improvement is still improvement.

Although, I was going over 3G using my phone.
Sat in the car.
On the M1.
In a traffic jam.
...and no, I didn't cause the traffic jam to get my own way...

:vamp:

Kimchi got me double dipping, first rush, then her now I will on Iron Man! I'm really, really hoping they do the 2nd eventually as well as I don't have a steel for that

Choi said that 1000 people logged on all at once to order DOFP and the servers were lighting fast. I think we should be in good shape for Iron Man.

I can see an IRON MAN 2 ULTIMATE EDITION where it's the Iron Man Suit Suitcase and a press of a button transforms it and delivers the IM2 steelbook on top of the suitcase from within! (Hey, it could happen!):woot:

I can vouch for that lightning fast part

The longest part of the process for me was entering the address as I was having it delivered to work not home :p KimchiDVD's site was extremely smooth (as evidenced by the selling out in 2 mins).

Kimchi's servers had a 1000 customers loged on for their X-Men release. Myself included. And it was as smooth as silk ordering that. Which also sold out in record time! :D
This will be another very different, being that it's Iron Man, major test.
But from what I experienced during the lighting fast sell out of 700 copies of DOFP.
I'm sure their servers are up to the task now. And we can put the kimchi server bashing to rest at long last.....:naughty::thumbs::muted:

This version and the Blufans one will take pride of place in my collection. This in hand with a super gloss finish will be amazing. I'm sure of that!!!
And I am thankful Kimchi are giving us another quality exclusive. Keep them coming Tony as it would be a grey sad day if kimchi were not in the game...IMO :notworthy::drool:

Please don't think I'm bashing their servers or saying y'all aren't telling the truth, but if the servers were "lightning fast", why when I access their site right now, is it not lightning fast seeing as it's under basically no load? (and don't say it's my connection...)

Loaded virtually instantly for me just now *shrugs* (as quickly as any other decent site does on my home internet connection).

I just timed it, from the moment I kicked it off to the moment all pics were loaded on the homepage, took 13 seconds. How bizarre *resists urge to find the video by OMD* *for now*
