Rules are rules but repeated requests to increase the customs limit have gone into deaf ears. I mean come on, £15 will get you 2 medium or large Pizzas or fetch Dinner at takeaways for 2 people.

I am sure many among us would agree to pay VAT for the actual item cost but
what serves as a turn-off is charging VAT for grand total including postage and the £8 RM handling fee or £13 Parcel Farce handling fee.

I agree. It wouldn't be so bad if the handling fee was a percentage instead of a flat rate. It is ridiculous to have to pay £11 in charges on a package worth £15.

You realise that Tony is breaking the law by declaring anything other than the true value on customs documentation? And that HMRC/Border Force can levy VAT on their perceived value of the goods, if they believe the declared value to be false?

I'm pretty sure everyone know that , now what you think they declare on invoices ? -anything under 15£ and majority do this and so do i . Now when BF look closely on some batch parcels from KimchiDvD and they notice all different values for the same item -that's odd and they will start investigation (maybe with IM they did who knows) . So yes i know Tony breaks a law and I'm thankful for that . Maybe someone who was less thankful told BF about "custom friendly website" as KimchiDvD and that's way some members have problems with IM.

So you think that declaring an implausibly low value of $7 per steelbook would throw HMRC off the scent, and make them less likely to take any action against KimChi?

Why not ? Many people buys stuff from Asia for couple dollars and i will suprise if BF take our steelbooks for something different than a DVD movie :D I hope they more busy by chasing drugs smugglers rather than couple of painted metal case enthusiasts.

Someone sent it to me...Thanks! I was interested in this bit...
On the first page they say it's been examined and 'confirmed to be infringing', yet on the next they say it's 'allegedly been infringed'.
FACT isn't even the real rights holder in the first place - that would be Paramount/Viacom (for Korea) or Disney I believe (for UK), so I really don't trust what the letter states at all.

Correct...Looking through the EU regulation...

(8) ‘right-holder’ means the holder of an intellectual property
right;

Had a reply from Tony. As I am yet to receive a letter from Border Force or the item, he's asked if I will wait another week or so just to see if the Christmas back log turns this item up. More than happy to do so, although I aren't holding my breath. I find it strange that there is a group of us to have received nothing though, not even a letter; I wonder if they are all amassed somewhere together - but if BF had them we should have got that initial letter, very odd. On top of that, my Dallas Buyers Club full slip arrived today and it is damaged, Tony will be sick of my emails!!!!!

Glad you had a reply mate ;)

I have had no reply from any of my 3 emails! As stated I will wait until this weekend, just to see if anything happens with those who had a BF letter but after that I will be contacting paypal :(

KimchiDVD was targeted for this specific release by a tip off. There has been another IM tip off and the seller is sweating it. ;)
