To be honest, I'm in a very personal mental debate. Even if I wanted a WEA cause I really hate reprints and especially for one of the most wanted steelbook, I'll never gone have the cash to buy the FS one, an opportunity now is open to get this one not matter if it's a reprint in my hands.

TRUE that! the original WILL always be the crown holder no matter what and nutters like myself will always want them all especially the cream of the crop ones, old school releases, that's what this hobby & collecting is all about, not investment or anything like that!!

Original FS release will always be the crown holder as DJHilalo said but I expect a price decrease on FS one after Kimchi release.. Let's see what will happen..

Thanks Choi. I agree with most of your comments. The futureshop one should NOT be reprinted. Kimchi should choose a new WEA artwork. Hopefully paramount will agree with this. It would basically ruin the steelbook game if one of the Holy Grails was re-printed with same artwork again. (at least for me)

This debate of using the FS artwork has been going on for years ever since it was a grail.

The collectors that have missed out will want a re-release so they don't have to spend hundreds on ebay.

The collectors that own this do not want this released for a lot of reasons, primary because it is one of the few grails left remaining which has an exclusive artwork from one country only, and the value will most probably plummet.

If the Future Shop artwork will be reprinted, whatever the print run will be, 2k, 4k, 8k, it would sell out like hot cakes and most will end up on ebay (as usual). The studio can easily make a good profit and know what they will invest will easily get a good return. The studio reps read these forums, study ebay and they too well know this.

On the flip side....

If this artwork was used, it would be a complete disaster to the values of collecting and morally unethical. For such a sensitive steelbook as this, in particular the heart of Marvel movies, it is best to leave this alone and respect the original release. It can cause old school collectors who treasure this steel to jack in the hobby. But financially the studios have nothing to lose, old collectors will go, new collectors will take their place.

For those that don't know me, I used to own this steel, in fact 3 copies, so I have nothing to gain if it is released or not, does not bother me.

But for the sake of hundreds of other collectors, release another artwork please

Saw many times ppl talking about their true love for the hobbie and never like any type of investment, they hate Ebay so much but they run to the site to find how much one person paid for a piece to set its high value. They hate scalpers but finally they have become one. We all know at this time that there is 3 different artwork already for IM. If for any reason Paramount chooses the FS one , please...don't hate Kimichi, or Choi. It's my personal opinion. I'll respect anyone's opinion too.

I know what you saying there but even hardcore collectors at one point in their lives will offload everything for a good reason unfortunately as nothing is certain in life, one day you have a decent job and earning well next you made redundant or got married/have a baby/someone close passed away etc... so you really can not blame them if they do that. Unlike scalpers who buy in quantities not for the love of this hobby but more of making money of it etc, you will see those ones on ebay 24/7 to protect their investment.

As for me, I still have over 400 DVD LEs 'mainly Asian/Korean films' that were grail and very sought after at the time but now are not probably worth much, however to me and in my eyes they will always be worth the hard-earned cash I paid for simply bcs I'm a movie buff and a collector at heart

Hahaha wow blast from the past! Man I remember that auction cause I was looking at it too. I'm pretty sure it was open for bids but you jumped out and bought it right away at the BIN price. Smart move. One second it was there, the next, SOLD! However, I'm very glad it went to you; seemed to bring you quite a lot of joy

But anyway, as said above, no matter the artwork, this will sell insanely fast. I'm sure they will release a kickass product, as usual

I for one am really looking forward to this as I have wanted an Iron Man steel for years but I didn't like the FS one and especially at the inflated prices and I really didn't like the Play version even more for being 1 disc, even at £9.99 I couldn't bite as it was the same art on the front that has been used time and again.

So I really, really want to see something new and then the vast majority of us will be happy, there will always be the haters but what can you do about them?
