Still waiting on an announcement of a HDN Exclusive run on the missing 300 copies. Fairly quiet in here from the mods, maybe their copy is tucked up in that run.

I don't collect all of kimchi releases because they're not all my kind of movies but I know members here that do buy all releases due to various reasons, which are none of my business and I support all collectors styles without judgement as others here support me in the same way. We are collectors of steelbooks, we have collections within our collections, be it the full range zavvi disney SB's, marvel, kimchi, blufans, sci-fi, 80's, zombie.. the list is endless.. its what we do and why we are a community, we don't do everything exactly the same but we RESPECT each others choices of how, why & what we collect. Throwing out judgements of mental health is not cool in my mind.. even if your post was a joke (that I didn't understand) your tone throughout had me feeling it was judgemental.

Well done everyone here who ordered successfully and good luck to those with pending orders, this will be a beautiful full package release and well worth the price tag.

Well done @harry, @kron and @bloodsnake007, so happy to see your names as some of the lucky ones here.. Awesome!! :):):):):)
It was in jest, not judgement! I support whatever style of collecting makes anyone happy!:)
Sorry if it came across as anything malicious:ohno:. Not my intent!
Mea culpa to anyone who though so! image.jpg

Wow that's nice! We have nothing in place with KimchiDVD/Tony to do any kind of run/GB/personal purchase or whatever you think. I personally have approached Tony a few times asking if we can secure copies to do GB's here for our members but have been ignored every time. Why would we (as mods/admin) have to post anything? It's sold out, simple as that. We know as much as you know.

I have on my account an order number with order status receipt of order
I gather this means I'm one of the 80 pending orders

I already have sent a payment for it using PayPal to Tony very soon after the madness of yesterday
I just hope as I have sent payment it will be enough to secure my copy
I await email from them to let me know

I was in same situation as you and have sent separate paypal payment yesterday.

Tony just emailed me and acknowledged my payment. He also changed my order status to "Payment completed" from "Receipt of order".

I'm happy you said that as it's easy to misunderstand tone when reading text and its good to clear these things up quickly. :):)

I know we can all get frustrated when we miss out but as others have said this game is swings and roundabouts, in this game one way or another we all find a way to get what we want in the end.

A part of me wishes that the print run was higher so we all could get through the checkout successfully and leave the scalpers out in the cold but another part of me see's the interesting side of trading collectables as another fun part of the hobbie (I've never personally traded but I see that it can be helpful to this community). There are so many different ways of interacting with fellow collectors which makes this such a brilliant social hobbie as well as a personal one. :):):):)

I mean there is no way this lenticular is going to be at $150 and climb higher between now and release date. [...] People offering them for up to $185 are dreaming. [...] I can forsee many auctions for the lenti for under $100 right when everyone gets theirs in hand and then climb up eventually.
There's already a lenti that's got 9 more days to go, currently with a bid of £82 (~$130) and that's before P&P, so clearly there are people willing to spend stupid money when they've missed out.

I'd imagine there will even be the occasional person that stretches as high as $150 or more too. I'm not saying they won't come down, just that while people are willing to spend that, others are likely to try and keep the price as high as possible for as long as they can. (Though there will always be those trying to undercut the others most likely too, so hopefully it balances out).

My apologies Cooey and to all at HDN that do an amazing job. Sometimes my disappointment gets the better of me.

I not yet had an email reply from Tony and my order is still showing Receipt of order :(

So I'm assuming if it says 'payment complete' my order is secured?
Should be, that's what it normally says when you've successfully placed a pre-order on KimchiDVD.

Has there been any confirmation on when this is actually released? Here/KimchiDVD Facebook said 28th November, KimchiDVD's site said 5th December.

This month has definitely been a humdinger! (And we haven't even had the Marvel Blufans yet!).
I always know that there is never a completely closed door on stuff- whether it's through trade or ebay, there is always another chance to get something. I can easily see someone who missed Mondo Drive or Kimchi I.M. find it at reasonable price months down the road. I, for one, could easily see myself unloading some stuff I may not really want down the road. But, my collector's heart does go out to those who didn't hit this time. But I think Every one of us has been to that party!!:p But, yeah, there is some fun to it. A bit o' strategy here and there! But I wouldn't care a wit of everyone had the same stuff I did. And, at the same time, it IS cool to have one or two things that are kinda rare. But I am putting the limit at steelbooks!:stop: ;)No collecting other stuff! This is enough! (My buddy also collects Sideshow Figures & statues, and that is a money pit!). But it's a lot of fun to be on a forum where people GET what you are diggin'!:D I just didn't realize that different people have different rules for how they collect steels. It's interesting. I gave up the completionist thing a while back and I'm happier for it! But I support all the collector's here.:D
P.S. It is the bane of my existence that written forums can't really convey conversational intent (i.e. Sarcasm, etc.),
But I hear the FCC is actually working on that (seriously!! No joke!! Look it up!!):ohno::D
