The red just doesnt seem to go well at all with shadowy art. Black is the way to go.

Also doesn't show off the suit so well. The black shows off the suit while the red hides it.

I agree with Slim that the black IM2 Asian steel was nice but not amazing, but when black is done well "Jack Reacher" it can look stunning with the right art.

The last thing I want is another red IM steel that is almost a copy of whats available. Asian or not that is absolutely utterly pointless imo!

Looking at Tacozilla's 2nd design a second time, I agree with Paulboland about the Iron Man title. I think it should be made smaller yet again.

If you look at the previous Iron Man steels, none of them have a title even close to that big and thick and the letters are too close together.

The lettering sized and spaced apart like this pic looks more correct.

Well actually I posted that pic as an example of how the title should look vs how thick the title is in Tacozilla's cover. But as for that pic... I think it would make a great lenticular.

OK, this is good. We're having a discussion on what color the case should be. The problem as I see it is too many people are mentioning black, while no ones mentioning green. And that's a big problem. The problem with black is that it doesn't go with red very well. according to the international Institute for advanced studies in color combinations (or the IIASCC for short), the red - black combination finished 4th last in all possible color combos. Out of 1000's of possible color combo's the red- black combo is 4th from the bottom. This means that it will not sell well if black is chosen. Many people are voicing the displeasure of another red IM steel, so red has got to go. What's left? Green of course, and here's why. According to the IIASCC, the green - red color combo ranked 2nd in their extensive poll, curiously, 2nd to the green - yellow combo. Hey, don't look at me, that's what the research says. It's not surprising really, red and green are the colors of Christmas, and everybody loves Christmas right? Lastly, the red green color combo will not offend the color blind, like red black would. People with red green color blindness won't even notice, while its been scientifically proven that the red black combo instills feelings of rage in them. So for those 3 very valid reasons, and most importantly, for the health and well being of the color blind, green should be chosen over black. Or all hell will break loose, you've been warned.

Except that green has no relevance to Iron Man's colour scheme. Now, if it was another Hulk steelbook then possibly.

Besides, the red & black combo must be pretty popular is it's used for everything, from the 1966 Batmobile to pretty much every recent horror DVD cover (they're often dark with red writing).
