I think it looks really nice with the red border as well and wouldn't mind at all if Kimchi's new steel had a red border.

However, to satisfy curiosity, here it is with the red border removed....

and btw... with all the talk in the Blufans Thor thread about how tight Marvel is with their artwork approval, I think we all ought to consider the possibility that some of the same artwork might be on the new Kimchi steel.

it is on the back of future shop and play.com version and also your mock-up a few posts above as a front cover , added a title to give an idea of what it might look like as a front cover

i know hence why i said i hope they use art which hasn't already been on a steelbook, hopefully if they have to use already approved artwork its from one of the other releases (not the steelbooks) so it is some bit unique

They should do the same thing as Amelie, have 3 different slipcovers and do a special Tri-pack and this will have everybody smiling from ear to ear and help collectors their best chance of getting a copy in their library.We've had so many custom covers handed in for this title than any other exclusive release.Having different slips will give these artworks a good percentage of making it.

Sheesh, these are awesome renderings. I do like them without the red border, just because they are so different from what's already out there. I like both cover options, but slightly prefer #1, because it's a little more different from the inside artwork than cover #2.

Yes! 100% agree. It'll be a more expensive option, but it's totally worth it for all the reasons you mention above.

Based from the recent Kimchi efforts on Monster U, Thor 2, Frozen, Leon, I trust them to provide a great product. Imagine what they did on title-less WWA to become amazing collector's editions what more if they have opportunity for WEA. Kimchi had proven that they value our inputs. But w/the restrictions from Marvel studios we won't be able to win 'em all. I just hope one of the fantastic designs made by our uber talented Ninjas be chosen as final
art. Can't wait!

To be honest, I'm in a very personal mental debate. Even if I wanted a WEA cause I really hate reprints and especially for one of the most wanted steelbook, I'll never gone have the cash to buy the FS one, an opportunity now is open to get this one not matter if it's a reprint in my hands.
