well, i had 3 copies of iron man arrive today. 1 is good (so im happy) but there are 2 damaged copies. 1 has a slash across the front, like when play recieved them , they used a knife to open the box. it is right across the front, sliced through the shrinkwrap, and deep into the steelbook. veeery bad form from play to still send it out.

so i am glad i put in an order for 3, but now i have 2 friends who have a choice of either a damaged IM or no IM.

i was soo excited for today, but overall now its dissapointing. with this and a couple of other issues.
there is no chance of replacements either. i would have been so so annoyed if i had ordered just 1 copy and it had been the damaged one.

This happened to a member on bluray forum. He only order the one and is gutted. Stanley knife straight through cellophane and across the iron man titling.

play should sack the idiot that has no respect.
can you imagine a car salesman running something down the side of a ferrari and leaving a big scratch? p45 time.

my worst copy is as good as ruined. its all the way across, just over his chin.
leaves a silver line of exposed bare metal.

I got one with a big gash across the front too. Thankfully I ordered more than 1. I wonder if this is some arsehole at Play's idea of joke. I've never seen this kind of damage before, can't see any way it could be an accident.

I'm not sure whether to return it or not though, even damaged it might end up worth more than £11.

Got mine today after a long wait , missed the postman on Saturday because i was at work and had to pick it up this morning from the delivery office. I got to admit i was in two minds weather to open this or keep it in its wrap, but in the end i just had to open it. Its so beautiful

Now after a looooong wait my Avengers have finally assembled

All i have to do now is to wait till September to get my Avengers steelbook and then Phase 1 will be complete Then it starts all over again next year with Iron man 3 and the rest of Phase 2

This is exactly what my set looks like atm but I have decided to order Play's Hulk 2003 to finish it off. Hope it doesn't take too long to arrive. It's not fair to ignore it plus the artwork is sweet.

I see your copy has the faint black line on the bottom left side too, thought I was the only one!

Love how you've laid those out, think that's the perfect way imo (with TIH top center, splitting the IM's). All it needs now is Avengers to squeeze between Thor and CA and it's complete!

Yeah, it's certainly strange as usually any knife marks are on spines, which leads me to believe they are packed spine up from the manufacturing plant.

I just received mine and i gotta admit that this is best looking Marvel steelbook. My phase 1 Marvel Steelbook collection is now complete. Now let's just wait for Avengers steelbook.

i think i'm kind of lucky since i only bought thor and captain america because i wanted the movies and just happened to come across them on the HMV website and i only started collecting steelbooks a few months ago as well so was happy to see them bring out IM1, TIH and IM2 to complete my avengers collection

I didn't realize about the mark until you pointed it out, it's so faint that you can't tell from a distance. Oh well im just happy that i have this bad boy in my collection

I do like the artwork to the 2003 hulk but didn't like the movie to much (Even though i have the 3 disc collectors DVD of it) and i have so many other steelbooks on pre-order so i don't think i'm going to buy it. I'm not going to count it as part of the Avengers and so my collection is complete so far
