I assume this is limited to 4000 copies?

Any way of knowing how many are left in pre-orders?

as of late, they've worked with me in regards to telling me when stock is low on the "most wanted" steelies ... so I assume it'll be no different. So ideally we will post when there are like 300 left in stock.

I assume right now they have it set at 4k, but I dont see this being a 4k title. Terminator ended up at 5k, hopefully paramount will allow such on this catalog title. I could see this being 4k-8k , but again this is me just guessing right now ... tho I will find out the answer. ;) and confirm later.

Don't do that. Buy at least 2 copies each because if you receive a damaged one, you wouldn't be able to get a replacement as the item got sold out. Never take chances with Steelbooks that has the potential to sell out.

All my Steelbooks I have ordered from Play.com have come in excellent condition. Not even one dent anywhere. I think I am going to trust Play.com to send them in good packages.

Besides it would cost me 90€ to get 2 of each Steelbook.

But if I do choose to order extra copy, I will only order Iron Man.

Any chance you could ask of this wave will include the bonus discs for titles that previously had them please John?

Please keep the discussion above board, and on topic.

I think we've all discussed the potential (or not) for the first Iron Man to drop (or not).

Buy or do not buy - beyond that, let's talk about the stellar opportunity that play.com has given all of you new collectors - a great looking steelbook at a great price.

There is a group buy in the group buy forum, if you live in the US or Canada, or some place that play.com does not ship, our trusted group buy hosts can help.

Beyond that, let's have some fun in this thread. :oohyeah:

I posted this note pages ago and I'm posting again, after reading more speculative value posts that have been deleted.

Also updated the op with this note.

Thank you.

Have you seen play.com´s new SB packaging? I don´t think they´re gonna be damaged...unless the delivery truck drives over the SB a couple of times ;)

Unfortunately, packaging will not protect an already damaged steelbook! I've had enough deliveries from play since the new packaging to know anyone risking a single order on this, is risking not owning a mint copy of plays IM.

Yes it sounds unfair (and crazy) that you would have to do this, but best to consider it as perhaps you're paying twice for insurance, when you can always return one of them as well.

When a steelbook that has been sought after for so long actually gets a decent substitute that most would consider worthy enough to stop their chase for the FS version, and it's priced this low, i think you'd be crazy not to get two. Just my thoughts...
