Ok, and to really set the mood and get some more hype in this thread ....... really, does this thread even need more hype?

We've been told the front will resemble the Thor steelbook. For those who own Thor they realize what a beauty it was. It was also voted SteelBook of the Year here in 11'. That being said Iron Man should be a great contender for SOTY in 2012 here. Who knows we may see the top 10 contenders all from Play

Also this is one disc, as many assumed with the current pricing.

So, If you remember right ... Thor's character aka body etc. was printed on the steelbook different to give it a great shine. So imagine Iron Man like that, as we've been told its just like "Thor".

That's great news. Thor is pretty much the perfect steelbook and I was expecting something similar from Paramount. Will the other steelbooks in this wave have similar treatment (embossed border and title) or is it just Iron Man getting special treatment?

"As far as I can make out the finish is same for IM2 too" so quite possibly same in regards to IM2 matching what we reported in IM1 .... so take this for what its worth.

So will all the others be in the style of UK Paramount steelbooks of late, or will they be standard steels with no embossing/debossing or special paint effects?

Dont know, esp since we havent seen Watchmen art publicly yet. I'll get info on them for sure, and will post in those threads or a member of staff will when able.

Don't worry, Play have really stepped up their game when it comes to packaging and sending out steelbooks. Just hope they don't get damaged in the warehouse (very rare occurrence though) before they're packed!

although play.com have stepped up the game with secure packaging, unfortunately some staff will still see a pre-post damage and still send it out.

that is the poor part.

but still, play.com is still the best for packaging.

You should be fine - they told me so long as the new card details were my default on the day they try to take payment then everything goes through ok.

Its better if you call play to update your details

I tried to do that but they just told me to do it online - so I did

I'm just relieved that it was release on the day it was, as I went away the next day!! Phew!
