Please keep the discussion above board, and on topic.

I think we've all discussed the potential (or not) for the first Iron Man to drop (or not).

Buy or do not buy - beyond that, let's talk about the stellar opportunity that play.com has given all of you new collectors - a great looking steelbook at a great price.

There is a group buy in the group buy forum, if you live in the US or Canada, or some place that play.com does not ship, our trusted group buy hosts can help.

Beyond that, let's have some fun in this thread. :oohyeah:

I'd prefer to not have to come back in here and have to delete some posts folks.

Thank you.

There will be a lot of FS iron mans going for sale since the release of play version. 2 on eBay now more to come I think.

Both of the steels FS and this look good, granted I do wish there was slightly more difference in the cover, I just hope the FS version does not take a drastic drop in value.

I only left the forums to watch the football, and it's took me this long just to read this thread! Lol.

Like alot, I am just glad to be getting an Iron Man steelbook within my price range. The embossing does not overly concern me, sure it's nice to get it (as confirmed) but it's not everything.

The FS discussion has been done to death, but given the chance and given the budget, I'd still buy it in a heartbeat ;)

Just to reiterate once again, thank you Play for all of these superb releases!

I have had a number of chances to buy Iron Man FS, but cannot simply justify the price.

For £11, i can easily live without it and take this one instead, in my opinion this steelie looks fantastic and let's hope for some lovely gloss....:oohyeah:

The artwork lends itself to have embossing of the title and the border on the front cover. It would also work very nicely for embossing on the back cover too to have the Iron Man's outline embossed. But at that price level, I am concerned they might forego the embossing. However, given the precedent set by Hellboy 2, Casino and Kick-Ass, there is a great chance this could still have embossing and glossy finish.

Well done Play.com! And thank you!

Here's the question; would you rather the market be flooded with unlimited copies of Iron Man, or would you rather have a limited run of only 4,000, but then cap everyone's maximum to only 3 copies (like HMV have done with The Avengers)?

Personally I would much prefer a limited run of 4,000 (capping everyone to a smaller amount). If the market gets flooded with endless copies of Play's Iron Man, it will absolutely damage the exclusivity of FS's edition also.

I would prefer the limited run, but no cap. That way the Group Buy can be filled. If you put a cap on it, the Group Buys are infinitely harder to complete.

Folks,
HMV is only limiting 3 copies PER ORDER. You can place as many orders as you like as long as there are only 3 copies of Avengers Assemble steelbook in each order. Enjoy!

Oops, I hope I did not just leak a plug :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

I think you may find that that loophole gets plugged, and it ends up applying to each account . But good luck to anyone that feels lucky...
