I like the fact its gonna be limited to 4000, its a film that many folks want in a steelbook and lets face it most of us are never gonna own the fabled futureshop one for one reason or another so Im sure it would have been very tempting for the studio/play to see an obvious huge market and manufacture this in massive quantities, the fact its still a fairly limited release keeps it 'special', gives those of us on a far more modest budget the opportunity to own an Iron man steel at an affordable price that is still gonna be a sought after item

...cant wait, although August is gonna be an expensive month :ohno:

DO NOT POST ABOUT THE SPECULATIVE VALUE (DROP OR OTHERWISE) OF THE IRON MAN FUTURE SHOP VERSION. This is NOT THE THREAD FOR THAT DISCUSSION.

I think 4,000 is a good round number for a 'limited' edition. Any more it be floating around everywhere and any less will cause many collectors to over buy to force the steelz out of print quicker for their own personal gain.

I'm looking forward to having my Avengers collection complete with separate releases of all the movies :D

4000 copies???? So is the rest of the wave limited to that many copies?

These claims of limited productions of 4000 - 5000 copies by the various companies that release them has always intrigued me. I really don't know what to make of them. They claim limited runs, but I see a flood of them on ebay. The worst offender for this is Sucker Punch Comicon edition, which claims a production run of 900 copies. Yet, I always see 8-10 copies at anytime one ebay (go see for yourself), strange. While titles like Terminator salvation (FS) and Inglorious Basterds (FS), which makes no such claims to a "limited" production run, yet you hardly see these titles on ebay. To think that some people paid upwards of nearly $600 for SP Comicon when it first released makes me ill.

SP had more than 900, round the # up and out ...... and then you will know the true #. Now given the fact that many got some damaged ones ... that # subtracted the damage ones and who knows maybe we are back at 900 :p
