Considering how quickly they sold out,you would think that Play.Com would get another few thousand printed.
I feel that this kind of idea could become the future of Steelbook retailing.
A low print run with a fast restock depending on demand.
Collecting aside,this is a business and it makes sense to have a product available for the people that want to buy.

They aren't trying to destroy the allure of "collecting steelbooks" ... there's ten's of thousands of movies out there worthy of steelbook treatment ... they'll just keep making our steelbook wishes come true. Plus, the studios have more say in things of that nature then the retailers themselves. Also helps that one of the major players is a steelbook collector himself.

certainly the best value steelbook ever.
OK there have been a lot of £9.99 play.com exclusives and many of them beautifull) but the IM steel at £10.99 was an absolute bargain.
play could have charged nearer £20 and it would still have sold out (knowing that just about every steelbook collector would want a copy)

i think the price will rocket as soon as the buy-to-sell ebayers have moved their copies.
i certainly wont be parting with my copy (unless i really hate the film. yes, i have not yet seen iron man )

Just got my copy via group buy a couple of days ago. This is one of the more stunning Steels I've yet to see. Play is doing a great job with their Steels, IMHO. I don't have the money or interest to get each and every one, but the one's I've received so far are stellar (IM, The Thing).

And their new packaging is top shelf. If Play ever decided to ship to North America, they would have themselves a new customer.

Anyways, this awesome IM Steel will sit nicely next to my IM2 Target lenticular Metal Pak.

26 euros is still a bargain compared to the 50 pounds and more it's going for on ebay.
