I would say so, I am sending my disc to a buddy in Germany when I get the US disc delivered. Maybe it just won't play on out region free players.

Very nice steel. Got it thanks to John! Already had the US version with the slipcover so i won't be opening the steel (sorry Ricker!) but even in its packaging the embossing and debossing looks so good.

Buddy, please scan it. It does not have to be open. We just need the front and back. Opened is a bonus

I think they messed up not having the English subtitles on the 'original' version, but I have the US blu ray with a sweet slipcase.

The German version plays perfectly on my Oppo 103.

Just recently opened this to watch on the Insignia Region Free player and NOTHING. same thing happens to me, Splendid shows on screen and then a Black screen. Anyone else with the same problem, was the disc defective?

I can't play the disc on my Insignia either. I don't think the disc is defective though. I think it's just a compatibility issue. My guess is that it would work on a true region B player.

The Raid German steelbook also doesn't play on my Insignia.

not idea, i havent seen it, but if you have the steel all ready and opened as i do, what else can you do?
