MOD UPDATE - turns out King of Steel Media (@Kosm aka Matt aka CreativePlus aka MovieCrate) is most likely a scammer to some extent, so I urge people not to purchase from him. If you've been unfortunate enough to have done so already, then please make a claim through your bank/Paypal ASAP!

Hi All,

As I see more and more complaints about this reseller and have a issue myself with this guy, I was wondering what's going on, I ordered some 'in stock' items back in November;

...And now still waiting for the refund as I wad done waiting and especially when this fella informed a couple weeks back that the OC of Tenet was NOT even in his possession. WTF?!?! And now I get these mails regarding these custom releases he's releasing himself...
How is it even possible if you cannot even manage forwarding 'in hand' items...

I gotta be fair and say that right when I basically gave up on KOSM, to the point of writing crap in YouTube comments, he contacted me on Facebook, where we last texted about possible replacements for MantaLab preorders.
Back then I've decided to go 'meet him halfway' so to say, not ask for money back, but swap for something I'll need anyway. That was the UHDClub Mission Impossible wooden boxsets, two, for myself and a friend.
Well he actually sent me those last month, a 5kg package arrived at the shipping forwarding company in US, I just haven't seen it personally yet, as there's literally over 120 packages and 90kgs of Blu-rays awaiting shipment, and I can only send a couple 3kg boxes per week to myself, so as not to attract attention of local customs. So there's basically a 2 month queue, as I'm buying stuff from all over the world for at least 5 friends in my city, due to all the sanctions situation with Russia. But that's my own separate troubles, I'm just trying to explain why I don't have KOSM's package in hand, but I'm thinking it's probably not bricks in there... :D
He still owes a lot more, but he started making things right, he wants to restore his reputation, and I truly hope he does manage to do it eventually. Because before all this, he did successfully deliver dozens of orders, that's why I got stuck with multiple preorders with him, because he earned my trust initially.

I still haven't heard back from him or paypal.
I don't know if it will do any good, but I'm thinking of reporting it to this site, which seems to defend British consumers.

What have you got to lose? Always better to do something than do nothing. I don't think they can help with resolving your issue but bringing KOSM to their attention might be a good thing...

Sounds more like silencing the vocal people so others fall for him again / help him out of his troubles.
Otherwise, he would have contacted every single person he scammed by now to compensate them.
I mean he should have their emails and other contact details, no?

He's just replied... I don't even know what to say in the face of such bad faith.

I'm not sure about UK laws, but don't think that's legal.
Without knowing exactly what you ordered: yes, it's "custom", but not in the sense that the goods are made to the consumer's specification or are clearly personalised.
And it doesn't matter if it puts financial pressure on him, that's the business he choose and there are (consumer protection) laws to follow.*

*This is not legal advice and I have no clue about UK rights

Well that's a possibility, kinda like him sending a few of those custom The Penguin Fullslips to a few to 'review' on Facebook and post pretty pictures of, or how Carlo of CineMuseum sends only a few copies to support his ponzi scheme operations.
He did write to me that he's going through a list of everyone he owes something, slowly compensating stuff.
This guy from YouTube also got his, but then again, he is the more 'visible' one:

It does state on his website that custom releases have no concrete date of release, cannot be canceled, and if you're not willing to wait for an indefinite amount of time, you shouldn't order...
It's a shame I don't have a picture of the products I ordered on their site, who is now only accessible via a password... what a bizarre practice, but a release date was displayed and the warning message was nowhere to be seen (my orders were placed in April and July 2024). This argument came out of nowhere, it's a lie to justify themselves to unhappy customers.
Of course I understand that this kind of edition takes a long time to complete and I'm well aware that they don't have the scale of companies like Manta Lab or HdZeta, but in these cases he work within is production capacity instead of promising everyone the best, taking the money and not delivering anything in the end.

Yes, I believe you're right, and back then those 'warnings' weren't there.
I too preordered his Last Samurai Boxset then, which he postponed to 'sometime in 2025'...
Then I've purchased 2 copies of Total Recall, which he even showed all details of live in hand like 10 months ago – the slip, the steelbook, and all the cards – but it's also been postponed...
I've also paid for The Creator, which is nowhere to be seen.
Then his 4th or so title The Penguin gets released, to a few people, and he kept adding more and more preorders without finishing the previous ones – Godfather trilogy, Rambo trilogy, The Mummy Trilogy, and others...
Kinda like CineMuseum. :cautious:

All I ask is that he does his duty as a seller and pays me back, and then I hope I never have to deal with him again. I'm not going to give up on him and I'd be a real pain in the *** for him

I'll never understand why this guy continues to push new products (Wayne's world) when he can't sort out the problems with previous projects and unfulfilled customer orders...
Clearly no sense of self awareness with more than a hint of sociopathy...

Well, back from paypal who are also trying to stifle my complaints, I got a credit on my account and a message that basically says ‘we did what we could here's a little compensation now stop’. Some contact with the famous michael from kosm he says that his paypal is blocked and that the solution would be a bank transfer but radio silence.
If unfortunately buyers have ordered from him using paypal, contact them at these addresses : [email protected] / [email protected]

I spent a few months getting no answers from him until I opened a PayPal case, worked as normal with delays between submitting info, waiting for parties to respond etc but he contacted me, agreed to send what was owed and I closed the case once he did.

The second case went differently, as soon as I opened the case it closed it in my favour straight away, I guess PayPal had had enough. So he's probably telling the truth about the account.

I'm debating if it's worth going through small claims court for the last thing he owes me, we're talking like, £20 so it's probably not worth the hassle but it's more the principle. Not even the most faceless uncaring corporation should treat people like this, let alone a one man band but I still find his approach confusing, he's fulfilling some orders but also scamming others while pumping marketing pretty hard. It's weird.
