Old infos:
Note About Ordering From Entertainment Store said:
They will ONLY DELIVER TO UK ADDRESSES AT THE MOMENT.

A way around this: (confirmed by retailer thats its ok)

1) Order directly but add a UK HDN members address for delivery
OR
2) Ask a UK HDN member to kindly order it for you

So please be careful when ordering because if you've put an address outside the UK your order will be most likely be cancelled by Play.

This post is worth for five stars! Very well said.

As for negativity for other collector's I have seen that more on bd.com forums than here, people there are actually calling other collector's fools for paying £28 for this steelbook.

I think they're starting to realise the bigger fools are themselves, because they missed out. Take a look on ebay - there's hardly anything on there compared to the normal scalper activities. I think this will become a grail item very quickly.

I do not think it becomes a holy grail because it is exactly the same coverage as all other releases

All I will add to this conversation, is that I wish I'd bought two copies when a fellow Ninja asked me to help out with this one - I keep gazing at his copy waiting to join its friends in the next package of steel and it's all I can do not to silently weep into my hands....this is a VERY nice steelbook and shame on the green eyes Ninjas trying to say otherwise ;)

Hi guys could anyone PLEASE give me some info about, how many other steels have 500 print run like UK JACK REACHER ?

Thank you in advance

I'm fed up of reading negativity in this thread. People doubting the print run, calling us names and saying we're stupid for paying a high mark up. I see the same people making a mess in their underwear in the Blufans thread. The truth is that this is by far the rarest UK Steelbook, is an absolute beauty too with a very decent film inside. The price whilst high for a normal release isn't that bad for what you actually get. Many UK members will happily pay that kind of price for a FS exclusive without thinking twice. A lot of detractors seem to ignore the fact that it would cost a similar price or higher to get any of the other versions shipped to the UK. The only conclusion I can come to is that those people are jealous because they missed out, I know I would be too if I had.

Great post and I agree 100%. This is a beautiful release and ES have been nothing but helpful with me and by the looks of it, my fellow Ninja's. Yes, there's a defect, but it's common throughout the whole print run and it's barely visible as most will agree, I for one won't be sending my copies back, and I truly hope that the print run isn't increased in order to make perfect copies. I'd be happy enough if ES negotiated a discount on these enabling them to issue a small refund to all buyers, but other than that I am happy enough with a) a fantastic looking steel and b) one of the rarest UK steels there is. It bugs the sh** out of me to see people waxing lyrical about average/s*** Asian releases which they will happily pay £50 for even though it's nothing special. yet when a genuine UK based retailer asks for £27.99 which isn't unreasonable when compared to Asian releases, they all b*** about how scandalous that price is. We are a bunch of spoiled **** in the UK, and this is part of the reason why we don't receive many grails, because retailers and the manufacturer know that they will sell more marking them as Canadian or Asian steels rather than UK ones, it's a stupid mentality.

Anyway, rant over. Well done, ES for a great release and I look forward to future exclusives.

From memory, closest small print run might be a blu-fans release, or some of the early ironpacks - like Romeo & Juliet / Moulin Rouge had smaller print runs.

That's basically it though - print runs that small are few and far between.

When you think about the old titles on the premium Warner range 1000s made and the original price was £20. Think this is a bargain.

Ted korea? Wasn't that something like 200? That's the smallest run I know of.

A great release, well done ES. To anyone that doesn't like it, that's not a problem, as you have only 2 chances of getting one; slim, and none. And as the saying goes, slim has left town!

hey folks, deleted a couple of comments.

let's not bring what is happening on another forum over to this one.

we all know that some places don't have as much of a mod presence and discussions can get off track more than they should.

however, it doesn't mean we need to try and emulate that situation on this forum.

thanks.

Thanks. I'm sick of being abused over there. Didn't want that here too :D

Been out all day so just caught up with the pages of responses! I have emailed ES and asked them to still send a replacement out if they can as mine has more problems with it than just the main scratch on the front. If I can get a copy with just the one manufacturing flaw I'd be happier than with one that's covered in them. Personally speaking I'd also want some kind of extra too be it a partial refund or a discount off a future steel as it's still not great for the price paid but I suppose we'll have to bear with them. Got to feel sorry for them too though as it's obviously not a fault at their end even if they do bear the responsibility of dealing with it for the buyers.

That question would probably make a great thread "Titles with low print runs".

Agreed!

So 194444, are you up for starting a Low Print Run thread or shall one of us get it started?

Starling - I was going to thank you but you're on 666 so thought I'd wait and see what luck it brings you :p

Why do you think because they have a scratch they are going to be more valuable if there is another reprint. Who would want to pay a ton of money for a defective steelbook? It would drive me nuts being in my collection. Just like my Dark Shadows drives me nuts.

Better make it 667 quick then hadn't I! Go for it Zoneism, I'd love to know what's out there with low runs. I'm sure Wreck may even drop in with a tip off or two...
