Old infos:
Note About Ordering From Entertainment Store said:
They will ONLY DELIVER TO UK ADDRESSES AT THE MOMENT.

A way around this: (confirmed by retailer thats its ok)

1) Order directly but add a UK HDN members address for delivery
OR
2) Ask a UK HDN member to kindly order it for you

So please be careful when ordering because if you've put an address outside the UK your order will be most likely be cancelled by Play.

Exactly. ES have done nothing wrong here, the manufacturing issue is just that, down to the manufacturer. It's like I always say at work, problems happen everywhere and they can't always be avoided, but when they do present themselves it's how you deal with them which will ultimately decide whether the customer will come back to you or not, and ES have dealt with this brilliantly.

This is the email Luke sent to me:

"Hi,

Thanks for your email.

We have identified a manufacturing problem with the entire run of Jack Reacher steelbooks where there is a faint scratch running from the right of the last R of Reacher down to the BBFC logo. This affects every copy.

We are speaking to Paramount this morning about a resolution for this, but it is unlikely to be clear what this is until the end of today (Monday) at the earliest.

Therefore there are several options:

1. We can send you another copy of the steelbook, but it will have the same scratch on it. You can then return your current one to us and we'll refund your postage costs.
2. You can return your steelbook to us for a full refund including the cost of the return postage.

Option 1 is clearly not perfect, as ultimately you are very unlikely to receive a pristine copy given that it impacts the whole run.

There is an option 3, which is to hold on to your current copy of the steelbook until such a time as we are able to provide an update on what we can do to resolve this.

If you do wish to return your steelbook for a full refund, please send it to:

The Entertainment Store
PO Box 7780
London
W1A 7BW

Thanks for your patience with this, and let me know if there's anything else I can help with.

Regards,

Luke
Entertainment Store"

It's clear, concise and lays out all available options from the get go. There was no 4-5 day wait for a reply to request further information, he simply gave me the facts right off the bat and made it easy for me to decide that ES are a company worth persisting with, and personally I really hope they get more exclusives because that level of customer service can only be matched by Amazon IMO, and let's face it Amazon are so big that they can deal with all problems without really taking any hits, whereas ES are just a small company trying to get by and help us collector's out in the process.

As if us crazies can resist checking this site several times a day :hilarious:

Get into work, load up emails, load up HDN, check emails every 5 mins, check HDN every 15 mins :scat:

That's pretty much how I spend my days at the moment and i've only been a member since March this year

---------- Post added at 11:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:41 PM ----------

On a side note, can we expect another small print run from ES for the next release or are we looking at more like 1,000+? Could a store this small bag a 4k print run with the likes of Amazon and Zavvi to contend with?

Mailed back my copy yesterday. If it were just the issue with the 'scratch' on the front, I'd happily have kept it as (on my copy, and in my opinion) it's not a scratch at all but a paint/finish defect.
But the spine scratch made it unforgivable - still smarting from my Skyfall experience .... emailed Luke @ES a copy of the postage receipt also.
I just hope they have enough to sort and send me a non-slashed copy as in all other respects, it is an awesome steel to behold.

Yes and at the premier I hope someone gets him with the water pistol again.

Totally uncool dude... I'm not the biggest TC fan in the world, but I admire the guy spending hours, yes hours before the film tending to fans with autographs and photos - even making phone calls. I don't know any other celeb that does that. To have some D**K get him with a water pistol was a total jackass! Even then I remembered him handling it very well at the time.

Well I thought it was quite funny. Even funnier second time I watched it. Thats my sense of humour though. Agreed he did handle it very well.

Lots of actors take time out for autographs, signings, book signings etc, its good for their ratings.

Yep, i like watching Tom Cruise movies cos he's a good actor, his beliefs are nothing to do with me, none of my business. As Man of Steel said, not many celebs would stand and give their time like that. Props to him for constraining himself as he did, i woulda thrown a fist or bottle at the guy!

i met him and the guy is the coolest celebrity. After a Q and A he spent an hour staying and taking pictures and signing autographs...People like that guy who squirted him in the face deserve to be knocked and are the exact reasons celebrities avoid signing autographs for people anymore..people who take time for their fans like this are the people who deserve it the least IMO...

People love to hate Tom Cruise, and it's rather ridiculous. The time he spends with his fans, and the things he does for them is unparalleled. Who cares ably his beliefs? I am not religious and I don't believe in God, so does that mean I should find those who do to be crazy? It's easy to dislike somebody this high profile, he's an easy target but IMO he's a legend and a great actor.

I was standing right next to that guy when he squirted TC in Leicester Square. Cruise had just signed my 4 foot x 3 foot WOTW poster when the joker got him.
He was very dignified in his response. He had been out for hours signing autographs and posing for photos. The atmosphere in Leicester Square was electric.
