People love to hate Tom Cruise, and it's rather ridiculous. The time he spends with his fans, and the things he does for them is unparalleled. Who cares ably his beliefs? I am not religious and I don't believe in God, so does that mean I should find those who do to be crazy? It's easy to dislike somebody this high profile, he's an easy target but IMO he's a legend and a great actor.

I know this has been touched on before but what do people think about the true grail possiblility of this release - could it realistically reach Irom Man FS / John Rambo status or more like Bluefans or below desirability??

Very unlikely since the same artwork is and will be available worldwide. IM FS and John Rambo DE were only available in their respective countries and are highly sought after due to their limited availability. This one will nost likely end up like Salt, Battle:LA, Battleship or Amazong Spider-man, all quality steelbooks worthy of any collection.

My thoughts too.....thought I'd wait until tomorrow, then 3-4 working days will have passed since I received the "posted" email....

Had an email back from Luke at ES confirming receipt of my spine slashed steel which I returned, £3 postage refunded via Play, and confirmation that the warehouse has despatched a replacement copy. All by 10am.
Outstanding customer service.
Just cross my fingers the spine is fine (hey that rhymes)

Yes TNT in a cardboard sleeve which suspends the Steelbook, a bit like Amazon's. Not the greatest, but better than some companies'.

Here are a few more pictures (sorry for the quality, just took some quick ones). J-card is all English, rating logo is a sticker of course and of course the Steelbook is the same as the Blufans version, with nice embossing and a beautiful glossy finish:

Thank you for purchasing a copy of the Jack Reacher Entertainment Store Exclusive Steelbook.

Our supplier (Paramount Home Entertainment (UK)) has informed us of a manufacturing issue whereby there is a very fine scratch running down the right hand side of the front cover.

As this is our first exclusive Steelbook, we want to make sure you have the beautiful mint Steelbook you ordered, not one with a scratch down the front.

Paramount has kindly offered to arrange for re-manufacture of the entire run of 500 Steelbooks (and no more). We, The Entertainment Store, will be automatically sending out a replacement copy to you free of charge.

There is no need to return the defective version you originally received – you are free to keep this.

However, if you have chosen or do choose to return your original copy to us for a refund then we will not be able to send you a replacement free of charge.

Creating new stock will take several weeks and this means you can expect to receive your replacement copy around w/c 27th May 2013.

Thank you for your patience with this matter, and apologies for any inconvenience caused.
