I doubt that its more just likely its sold out
The Steelbook design is using the film poster images
The images used are property of the film studio and its them who would have approved the steelbook design

This would have been approved before made available to purchase

The Fan Artwork created has no legal claim to the design by using artwork that's property of the film studio and if you do so they can use your design if they want to as the images they hold the rights to

When you create Fan Artwork you cant use licenced images and claim any rights to a design nor can you sell the design without getting permission to do so

Its always best if you want to create Fan Artwork that's it original artwork and not using already licenced images

Yeah ... in case if I use the original and unedited poster. And just put it in composition.... in that case, I understand. In that case, I can not argue about rights.

OK ... I understand.

A second option .... What if I use several original posters.
From each posters i cut different parts ... with these parts I create my own idea own composition ... I can take this as my work?

I'd say NO. You can't take someone elses images and cut out bits for your own use, as your still using copyrighted material in whole or in part.

Emailed Nova after reading your post. I had mine switched from Gift to Merchandise. Thanks for the tip!

They did answer about 7 hours later but just with a one-liner: "Ok we will do what you want." Not sure if they really understood it. It hasn't been updated in the my orders screen either.

I thought the same thing until I contacted them again after asking for it to be changed and the reply was ''That is not changed now. When we print your information about your order changed.'' so hopefully all goes well.

Not heard anything from them regarding switching 'gift' to 'merchandise'. Is it worth another gentle prod or should I wait to see what happens?

They got back to me within 30-40 min, saying that they would adjust the invoice to reflect the changes. That was 2-3 days ago, and the invoice hasn't changed since, but I'm sure it'll be sorted out by the time it ships. You should send them another email if they didn't confirm receipt of your original message

As a newer collector of these more unique, Asian releases, I have to ask: what's the appeal of the 1/4 slips? People seem to go crazy for them but like you, I find the full slip or lenticular more appealing. The John Wick 1/4 slip doesn't even appear to be individually numbered. So is it the rarity? The simple fact that there are so few available?
I like some 1/4 slips, such as the Taiwan IM3 and TLK - stunning. Same for Hansel and Gretel, but usually I dont feel they add much, visually, to a steelbook and the Lenti's are always differant artwork, often my preferred artwork, so tend to opt for those.

To any collector who can successfully resist the temptation to open their steelbooks, I say, 'Bravo!' I do still have sealed ones, but when I stare too long, they tend to get opened. I can't stop myself :shy:
I cant keep any sealed either. I buy for the movie, and want to watch the movie, so they all get opened in the end.
Some stay sealed a short while, until I want to watch them. Currently have Clerks, Tarzan and Kill Bill duo pack sealed still. But when I want to watch them again, I have no issues in opening them.

Got my order in for the ill slip. I don't usually do blind buys, but I feel pretty confident about this one
same.
Plus I figured I'd have no problem tradeing/selling the steel's if I dont like the movie :)

I'm wondering same.
Stupidly clicked gift in the panic to order

Can't wait to watch this movie again. I also want to watch it with my dad lol

@baily I can think of a few things. Some people love the Asian text @Actarus goes bonkers for it :p some people want the complete collection of the release #oneclickgang and people that keep their steelbooks sealed. You can't see the steel when it's in the slip!

Personally all my j cards are sitting in a box in my room. Not a fan of 1/4 But PA's 1/4 slips have been super unique. All my opinion of course :)

Sent second mail as per your suggestion and got a response this morning saying pretty much the same thing, so cheers for the advice.

Yeah, likewise. This will be my first Asian steel and I really didn't want to miss out on it but somehow failed to pay any attention to the Nova Media retailer thread where I dare say this is mentioned. Still, you live and learn and hopefully all will be well!
