got a fullslip for myself and oufff it oozes quality same as drive fullslip...too bad I don't have a surround sound system as apparently people are raving about the sound being master 7 master something which I know nothing about, I just have my plasma with regular speaker 2. something so sound isn't insane but got great picture...

Sell some steelbooks and upgrade your sound ,you won't regret it ,listening in stereo is like watching a CRT TV . The enhancement and enjoyment you'd get from surround sound is worth any amount of steelbooks . You will unlock audio tracks that stereo can't decipher ,the difference is ridiculous .

@Actarus George is totally right! You should definitely look into surround sound man, it'll change your life ;o Unless you live in an apartment or something, unsure how that all works but man it totally changes the experience. You could try a soundbar, my parents have one but I have 7.1 in my room and its fantastic. I can't wait to get my own place and have a (bigger) room dedicated to movies only!

well already when I have a great copy to play on my plasma I feel no loss in not haven't seen it theatre....but to sell some of my steelbooks... what did they used to do in the old days, wash you tongue with soap lolllll hahaha I get what you are saying but I would never sell any of my steels to upgrade my sound, I would just upgrade my sound but I live in a familial house so it is rare I can play films very loud as too many people and different schedule.... so I have to respect others,,, but if I'd be in my own house I would have all the bells and whistles

I was actually yesterday was thinking of a soundbar as I have seen them... and think it would be a middle ground as I have said I live with my family so I have to be respectful. I know I want surround sound as I rarely watch movies alone and I am always told to put it down which pisses me off... even sometimes I have to put subs grrrrrrr

but maybe get a surround sound and watch movies earlier... I have a crazy schedule so when I watch movies it can be from 10PM to 4 AM so it is kinda sleep time...wanted blutooth headphones at least so I can hear without the freakin subs !!!!

I think you would notice a huge difference going from surround to a 5.1 or 7.1 setup. The only difficulty can be finding space to put the speakers. It's not always convenient for others if you are blasting the movie out aswell. The majority of the sound does come out of the sub though so you can turn that down and you would still get the effect at quieter volumes. I haven't heard much about the audio track on John Wick, I'm guessing it's a good one!

It's definitely a great middle ground I think. Maybe the audio sub forum here can help you more on what soundbar to look for etc. But yes the DTS HD master track is awesome in this movie :)

You can get a Yamaha 2500 sound bar for a good price now ,unobtrusive and very good at what it says it can do ie : bounce sound waves off walls to give side and rear effects ,the sub is fairly decent too ,it's a great compromise solution to wires and clutter .

that its when I read TRUE HD master sound I was awwwww shoot... but I guess from @Sigill 'sadvice and yours I have to find a way for the sound as picture is INSANE !!! but true without the sound it sucks... and yes apparently John Wick from nova has true HDTS somethings like that 7.1 and it kicks ass and I want that lol

I'll look to see what they have at cosco lol either I get a sound bar but since I watch movie very very late, blutooth headphone set might be better, really nice headphones... I am awake mostly during the night so...

..but cosco headphones selection actually suck lol might have to look at amazon

I actually would like right now a really nice pair of blutooth headphones to watch movies at night,

anyone can recommend really nice ones quality/price

I mean I had to pay 100$ for extra pair of active 3D glasses so it's not like I am not wanting to spend, is just not wasting money.

I'm away from home, but i think my copy should have arrived too. After seeing @Drum18 photos, I can't wait to open and rewatch the movie again. IMO, the steelbook and lenticular cover artwork is simply pure win! You got best of both worlds!

Are these discs on the blu fans /novamedia releases the same as the discs they put out worldwide? Eg special features and stuff, for example, will the captain america winter soldier disc be the same as the UK release?

It depends on which company/studio distributes them. Disney tend to use worldwide discs, although my french Auchan Avengers still has the menus in French whilst most Warner releases are in English worldwide. Some Disney discs even ask which language you want to set it to before loading the menu.

I know the menu for John Wick is in English as I've played the disc and it's all good. I'm not sure about Capt. as I've got the Futureshop edition, which does have English menus.

Sometimes (especially if it's a newer player) it will select the menu language for you based on the region you brought the machine.

Hope that helps even if it is kinda vague.
