No Luke, I think, like many of us, for @StifflersDad it's the 'rabbit caught in the headlamp's glare' scenario in that we are utterly amazed that anyone would be taken in, willing and happy to pay significantly over the odds for, as @kenny222 just put it, a bit of black cardboard and a couple of cards tagged onto the generic, rather nice steelbooks.

I get that, but why does every post have to try and drum home the same point over and over. All I hear from certain members' posts in this thread is shock that someone might want to buy something they like (which certain members think are overpriced) and expressed in a repetitively pi$$-taking fashion while thinking they are justified to do so.

I think that those who have bought this edition are all grown up enough to make their own decisions on what they want to buy with their own money, don't you? Having a dig is unjustified, no matter how amazed you are. In fact it's quite narrow minded.

I think this thread is starting to derail a little bit. Why don't we agree to disagree? Some like it and some don't, let's accept that and move on. No use in arguing back and forth. For me, it's not just about the price it's about the presentation. If you don't think this is worth the price tag get it from somewhere else where it's affordable for you. I don't want to start an arguement with anyone, but that's my opinion.

Well Luke, I stopped making comments about it long ago, I was today just trying to make clear the point of view which isn't (certainly on my part) one of jealousy/envy.
Anyone is justified to criticize the price, or to be incredulous, but not to belittle or to attack those who bought, and vice versa.

A lot of the problem arises form the simple fact that a lot of people who bought this set, and equally the Private Ryans, will not admit to themsleves or anyone else that they actually did pay well over the odds.
If those people would just stand up and say 'Yes, it was very expensive for what it is; but I can afford it and wanted it.' then all this nonsense wouldn't have got to this point.

I love the slips,and bravo to them for including the spinosaurus! Hope everyone enjoys these, i was so ready to go on order day but then my car started making nutso sounds ( breaks ended up being shot) so i had to pass the pics look great too,hoping i'll be there for the next release!
