Wow got the dispatch email last night at 10.22 and look whats just arrived

just opened mine. flat as a pancake.

lets face it- its a rubbish steel. its like they just chucked a couple of discs in a steelbook, copied and pasted the most convenient images they could find onto every surface and gave it no special treatment- £20 please.

missed opportunity

I do agree to some extent, it defo was a missed opportunity, but I still like it. It could of been a lot worse though, it could of been a matte finish!

It's a stunning steelbook, I really like the way the blue colour shines through the Jurassic World title.

Got mine from xtra-vision today. Not embossed but the artwork still matches the other JP releases. I agree it would have been better embossed but I'm still impressed with it. Been a good few days for me with steels now I've got this, mad max and interstellar to watch tonight. Gonna be a late night tonight!

Got the 3D Amaray Lenticular Slip with Keychain from Tesco for 10 quid. No way I am paying twice the price for the Steelbook version which is not embossed.

How did you manage to get it for a tenner if you don't mind me asking? Take it you used Cluncard points? Can't find the blu Ray with keychain on Tesco's site, do you have any pics?

Mine came through today; as others have said, it would have been an excellent steelbook if it had some embossing, but colours are nice and £20 for a 3D steel is a good price

Received this morning and disappointed minutes later, I can't believe that they didn't bother with any bossing but could with the catalog JP movies.
Used to be able to rely on Universal to hit it out of the park but they are way too inconsistent recently.

Received this morning, and not really impressed. Just a box standard steelbook. It could of been so much better. This will end up in the bargain bucket.

I cant believe people dont like this, sure its simplistic but i think thats what makes this quite a stunner, the gloss is beautiful and held in the right light the logo looks awesome.

Its alot better than the crappy amaray artwork and doesnt have the 3D logo anywhere. Its a great release.

I guess there is just no pleasing some people.

The issue is that even though it LOOKS nice with the blue colouring an' all it just doesn't FEEL nice and holding in my hands I can't help feeling a certain sense of disappointment.
The absence of any 'bossing on the title / motif is most unfortunate as that would have given it the extra dimension of texture and quality seen on the other top quality JP steelbook releases.

Mine arrived today from Xltra Vision.

This arrived earlier this afternoon from HMV UK online store, they did not send me an email to notify of the dispatch but I'm happy it came early, I guess their site is still new and they will fix this eventually. It's a nice gloss steelbook the artwork matches the others nicely, I don't think I will go for a premium release, I did not for the others.

It's good to see HMV UK sent this in a robust and hard mailer that had a flap, which protected it nicely, will definitely order form them online again if they keep this up, can't wait to watch this again later on today and view the extras.
