These steelbook look nice
I never really though been interested in these Japanese animation films
I have not watched in full any of them so I might be not giving them a chance

They having a huge following in some countries from what I see online and some are the highest grossing films in Japan

I passed on the previous steelbooks

For Miyazaki films I highly recommend starting with 'Howl's Moving Castle'. The English dub is rather good aswell.

I felt exactly the same up until last year Paul, which is when I decided to give them a chance and randomly chose to watch Howl's Moving Castle first and it ended up being one of the best decisions I'd made in a long time! So, yeah... I totally second what Upset said, and the English dub is easily some of the best dubbing I've come across.

I missed the first wave of these . Mainly because I hadn't actually watched any of them!
Only this past year, I have been watching them on Film4 in UK.
I gotta say, Studio Ghibli movies are some of the most beautiful out there!
Kiki's delivery service is magical.
A must buy for me

My favourite of the Ghibli movies...

Earlier in the year, when my DVD copy decided it no longer wanted to play all the way through, I would have been all over this in a heartbeat. Wanting a new copy then and there though, I went with the Madman boxset (hard cover art book, blu-ray, collectible coin & postcards) and, while, yes, granted it's not a steelbook, I just don't feel the urge for this because of it.

I think they must be saving 'Spirited Away' for a special occasion. I've got the amaray with the slipcover but will happily get the Steelbook aswell.

Spirited Away is also a stunning film, I would recommend it highly. I have most of the Studio Ghibli titles and whilst only had enough time to watch a handful, they have all been amazing.

It's unfortunate that here in the UK that we don't fully embrace animation for what it is; a work of art. It's largely perceived here that animation is marketed towards a 'younger audience / children' and to an extent this is probably what stops it being taken seriously. Studio Ghibli is a great example of not specifically targeting children with some deep stories that adults can fall in love with, but characters that children can embrace.

Japan are in love with their animation franchises and it certainly shows in their quality! I for one will definitely be visiting the Studio Ghibli museum when I visit Tokyo for two weeks in March.
