I like concept #1.

Personnaly I really doubt that we'll ever see a release of the TWBA. To be sincere it became kind of a myth.

MY guess is we wont see it anytime soon and perhaps it might become actually MORE.

Quentin said recently that he originally had planned for Kill Bill to be like a film he revisited every 10 years with Uma. This obviously didnt happen , but he did reference viv's daughter getting older (like that mashup mock poster we've most all seen, fake) but had also said there was to be more anime.

Point being I think he is undecided or wants to do more that perhaps he feels it worth better to just tie it all together for a complete release later as opposed to just the extended 2 part cut.

my thoughts...

Hmm i am not impress with the fullslip artworks. Nova has release awesome fullslip artworks in the past but this one i am not impress.
From the 2 fullslips, if i had to choose, it would be the 1st one and i have a feeling it will be a holofoil slip.
I wish they had a lenti version also.

That was my first thought. And to include sloppy photo shopping defeats the point in 'borrowing' the art

I am not 100% on the draft designs as well. Renders always look better so have to wait and watch. As far as the art is concerned it was used in Japan/Theatrical poster and supplied by studio to Nova. So there are some tweaks to it and nothing is stolen and no other permission from artist is required as once its used by the studio its property of studio for use in any way they please.

Yikes. I think the steelbook looks amazing, but those slips aren't doing it for me. The first one seems like it'd be ok, but it has that sickly yellow hue washing out the artwork on both sides.

The back art on the second slip is fine, albeit at odds with the front. The front art on its own looks promising, but just doesn't quite click for me. The whole thing just falls a bit flat for me.

Perhaps they'll take the feedback to heart and churn out something different. If not, bring on the lenti!

Whatever the slip design, I will be taking the steel out and keeping it sealed like I did with Nova's T2. Grown quite fond of that vibrant yellow colour.
