To be honest, I don't LOVE either design for the slips. I went with Type A (even though it's super generic) because there's something off about the poster design for B to me. Seeing the pics, I think Type B has a nicer finish and effects, but the finished product for A isn't too shabby.

The fullslip has a texture that feels like paint on canvas; it's great to touch. All the text is embossed and has a glossy smooth finish.

The Steelbook is definitely where it's at though! It has the same kind of finish those early KimchiDVD exclusives (for those of us remember that far back) like The Pianist and Perfume have. It's glossy, but isn't silky smooth and has a textured feel to it. I'm a big fan of this kind of finish, but I find that the paint chips really easily. It's a really well thought out design too in terms of the use of texture and colour. The katana has a beautiful shine to it and so do the buttons on the Bride's jumpsuit; too bad I can't really show you in the photos.

There's something underwhelming about these. I don't normally care for the art cards that much, but there's a certain sense of, "Is that it?" for some reason. There should've been one more set of extras with a gimmick to them like those plastic cards some editions have now.

And here's the rest of the booklet.

Overall, it's a good release, but it's also very plain in some ways. Don't get me wrong, it's up to the standard of the premium South Korean releases, and I'm happy to have a cool edition of Kill Bill--here's just nothing here we haven't seen before.
Thanks for sharing these! Not sure if it's just your amazing photography skills, but it actually looks a lot better to me after seeing them.

I may have finally just caved and ordered Slip A anyway... I mean, it is my favourite QT film after all! I'll just try not to look at the back of the steel. :wtf:

I thought someone wrote that these were completely sold out and NovaMedia didn't have anymore. Now they are ALL back in stock, even the box set.

Don't think that was ever properly verified. Just ordered full slip B, hope they do a matching slip for Vol 2!

Should I be worried about this?

It's been 'ready for dispatch' at Korean international post office since April 20th. No mention of Incheon at all in my tracking which has never happened before.

My L.A. Confidential from HDZETA which left China 3 days later on Apr 23rd arrived in Ireland yesterday.

I just contacted Nova and in fairness they replied immediately.

They will look into why my tracking hasn't updated. But today is a holiday in Korea and post office is closed. So hopefully hear back tomorrow. Doesn't sound promising to me......

Mine apparently arrived in the U.K on the 23rd and hasn't updated since then. Might send Nova an email and see what they say

So my full slip A has just arrived...... not a fan at all!

The slip artwork looks quite washed out and very low res. I can see the effect that Nova have tried to go for, but it just doesn't work IMO and comes across very amateurish. Might keep it sealed and sell it on. Should've gone for the lenti

Are you guys using Aftership to track your packages? I've found that tracking these orders through regular postal services (in my case, usps.com) is more reliable. I never seem to get updates past the country of origin from Aftership.

Mine is the same, just showing "Ready for Dispatch", so at least you know you're not alone. My L.A. Confidential arrived today.

Have the box sets been sent out for those on the GB? I assume they would have given they're coming straight from Nova directly
