Just received mine from Zavvi, embossed and gloss.
Received mine this morning, Sunday UK delivery 
it is totally stunning. Such a nice steelbook. Unlike the US steel, some of the patterns on the mask are spot matte on the UK version. That's a really nice subtle touch. Elevates it even further.

That is a subtle effect, Not sure I would have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out.

Do I wish that they'd gone the whole hog and embossed/debossed the intricate scroll work on the mask...yep, you damn skippy I do!

Very subtle. If it hadn't been for my lighting I may not have realised either. It's a really nice effect though imo.
I recieved mine recently and made a point of actually watching it in 4K UHD. Picture and sound quality are outstanding and although historically, some of it is inaccurate but as a piece of art its stunning film making with a soundtrack to boot. I'm a massive blade runner and aliens fan but having watched this after a long time, this has to be my favourite Ridley Scott movie. Its somwhat gone under the radar but now back in the spotlight. So please unseal it and watch it. You'll love it. I hope Conquest of Paradise gets a similar release as well.
It's a great film. It does still come behind Alien and BR for me, though. Possibly behind Gladiator, I cant decide. If it hadn't been butchered to make a TC I think it'd be way up there on most people's lists.

Sounds like a stock issue, in a really round about way of saying it. At least it's not cancelled though. My order from rarewaves arrived on Sunday.Rarewaves still hasn’t shipped my pre-order (from April).

Well this is DEEPLY frustrating - mine was dispatched on sunday, arrived at a depot sunday......aaaaaannnnndddd nothing. Now down as 'lost in transit'. A long shot, but if anyone has a spare copy that is willing to part ways with it at a reasonable price, please let me know!
