Not much convincing needs to be done here. The most essential and out of print title in !K7 history Kruder Dorfmeister's K&D Sessions TM is finally being repressed on vinyl in a dazzling 5LP 180g package. Originally released on Studio !K7 Records in 1998, Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister's groundbreaking release, 'The K&D Sessions' reset the bar for what could be achieved in a compilation. Across an array of original tracks, dubs and infamous ‘K&D Session’ remixes, the DJ and producer duo took the listener on a smoke-filled blunted journey that flowed flawlessly. Often compared to DJ Shadow's 'Endtroducing' for it's similarly deft craft of rhythm and quoted by Allmusic as "the most blissfully blunted music the world has ever heard", the album has sold over 1,000,000 copies to date and was included in Spin’s ‘Top 20 albums of 1999’.

The album has long since been deleted on Vinyl with original 4LP sets changing hands for €300+ on the collectors market and even a bootleg vinyl copy will set a buyer back over €100. Sixteen years later, this legendary album will be available as a long overdue 5LP reissue remastered by Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood.

Love this mix to bits and I missed out on vinyl the first time around so this is awesome news! I have been so close to forking out hundreds of dollars many times during the almost 10 years this have been on my want list on Discogs

oh my god! i will definitely buy this! i bought the original back in 2000, but i played it so much, and often at partys, that the vinyl is quite worn, scratched and has way too much pops and surface noise.
i'm looking forward to this edition. can't wait! this is an essential release.

Lol, seems I jumped the gun a little early on that one. Didn't check anywhere else for cheaper options. They have already taken my money and I'm not bothering with the cancelation stuff.

yeah it was a home game, taking place in the club i usually work at as the sound engineer, so lot of people i know all around.
mr. professor is a super nice guy, and so is his son (?) who accompanied him on the mic.
the music was very bass-heavy (as it's supposed to be),

@spass i just received this from an austrian recordstore (would be a shame not to order one directly from austria ).
it's a heavenly package, double gatefold this time. and to listen to this record again after 15 years without any
surface noise and crackles and pops makes today a very special day.

in the pictures, comparison pics are my totally f***ed up and worn original copy i bought in 1999 or 2000 on the LEFT and the 2015 edition on the RIGHT.

we know that there is not enough pressing plants anymore to fulfill the today's demand in vinyl. which is a great thing imo. considering vinyl was claimed to be dead by so many... i hope you get yours soon buddy!

This release is stunning! The sound is fantastic and it looks so good. You have no idea how happy it makes me to play Count Basic - Speechless on top volume, hehe.
