We are currently moving our warehouse to a bigger better warehouse to allow us to stock even more products and improve our overall service. As a result from Monday 26th June to 3rd July any orders placed unfortunately will not be shipped until the 4th July but we will of course upgrade all orders to 1st class without charge (UK orders only). We apologise for the temporary disruption to our normal delivery but will resume normal service from the 4th July.

I finally gave up on my copy arriving here in the States. Reached out to Zavvi to see if they could track it so see its whereabouts, and they told me they couldn't do anything because it was beyond their '40 day policy.' No replacement, no refund, not even an offer of a voucher.
What really takes the piss is that they require a mandatory 30 days before contacting them about international orders in the first place. So it looks like international customers have a 10-day window in which to dispute missing packages or they're S.O.L. in Zavvi's eyes.
Gutted to miss this steel. I know packages go missing from time to time, but Zavvi's handling of the situation is laughable at best. I guess I'll be taking this up with my VISA card provider.

I know this not much use now but it's best to always contact Zavvi if your order not arrived by your estimated delivery by date
As in do this the next day after your estimated by date has passed
Once you do this you have started the process of not got delivery and even if they tell you to wait by another date and you then contact them again at a later date that you still not got delivery they can't then tell you it's to late to request a replacement or refund.
I always do this if I don't get delivery by the estimated delivery date in my dispatch email
I don't wait the 21 days you are supposed to wait before you contact Zavvi regarding non delivery (Rep of Ireland is 21 Days and UK is 14 Days)
You also might still get delivery though I have had on 2 occasions orders arrive after 3 months the parcels took a tour around the world been redirected to different countries and one parcel the address label was faded and barely readable due to water damage but still some how made it's way to my address and the steelbook was fine no damage even though the cardboard box was a mess

Thanks, Paul. I won't hold my breath waiting for this to show up, but who knows, maybe it's taking a world tour before settling down here in the States.
Funny thing about this whole ordeal: I was trying to do Zavvi a solid by not seeking a refund for an item that might still turn up (longest one's taken has been 6 weeks). No good deed goes unpunished, I suppose!

Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Given recent trends and the popularity of this steel in particular, I wouldn't be surprised if they issued another run of these. I don't think they'd have any trouble selling another 2k if they split it between the U.K. and Italy or France (neither of which received a steelbook for this film).
But who knows, Maybe Manta will knock my socks off with their release and I can happily put this one behind me.

There are some more exciting editions coming for this title (yes I have seen the prototypes) but the completionist in me is driving me crazy. Need to have all editions.
If they do a reissue I will grab 5 copies this time. What are the odd's all 5 will have dings ? lol

I thought I should try here and see if I have better luck. So long story short I had preordered 2 copies of La La Land Steelbook to be delivered to my friend in UK who eventually forwards them to me. I stopped ordering for delivery direct to USA after several damaged shipments due to the poor packaging format (envelope?).
Everything usually works out with this method but its unfortunate that both the copies are not in mint shape. One has a crease from within the steel (manufacturing defect) and the other has a dent in the same area.
Is there any chance you could have someone look in the warehouse to see if they can find one please? I dont mind paying for it again and I dont really care about a refund as I buy anything & everything zavvi releases as a steelbook so money spent/lost is the least of my concerns. It is more important for me to have a perfect copy.

Why didnt you preorder instead of being sarcastic over here? It was a wide release not limited to 1 retailer. You could have walked into a HMV store considering you live in UK and grabbed one.
Oh wait maybe you only buy 5 steels from zavvi in a year and wait for a price drop before you do that
