Today I officially announced the pre-order date & time for 2nd round

London (United Kingdom - England) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 13:00:00 BST UTC+1 hour
Seoul (South Korea) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 21:00:00 KST UTC+9 hours
Vancouver (Canada - British Columbia) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 05:00:00 PDT UTC-7 hours
New York (U.S.A. - New York) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 08:00:00 EDT UTC-4 hours
Paris (France) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 14:00:00 CEST UTC+2 hours
Corresponding UTC (GMT) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 12:00:00

-1x copy per slipcover (2x copies for slipcover was sold out too fast like 7 min, That's why kimchi put more restriction for quarter slip release)
-5x copies per lenticular

here is technical problem solved so far

after you pay via paypal, you will automatically return to main page of kimchidvd and you can go to order page to check if your order is completed.

(previous kimchi, does not provide automatic payment completed by paypal, only kimchi handle one by one to complete order by manually matched with paypal transaction. it's kind of big burden and many problem happened)

and another announcement for shipping

Small packet is removed, K-packet applied for all of item sold in kimchidvd
K-packet is slightly expensive than small packet but there is lots of benefits

- Printed slip with tracking number
- End-to-End tracking with delivery confirmation (No lost shipment)
- Reasonable cost than EMS
- generally takes 5-15 days (EMS: 5-10 days, Small packet 15 -35 days)

but some member are curious why kimchidvd changed shipping method

From T2 kimchi release, Kimchi handled more than 1,000 box to ship out to post office KR, this is a big volume of post office KR to handle only for one store.

so post office does not allow kimchi to accept small packet any more :(
and asked kimchi to change K-packet rather than small packet due to too many package in one or two day.

after changed of k-packet, pack & shipping process is much more faster than small packet and very reliable shipping method in terms of tracking.

even now, some of member did not received T2 kimchi after shipping process done at 26th June because no tracking available for small packet.

1 or 2 steelbook for shipping charge between small packet & k-packet is only difference around 2$

please kindly understand kr post office policy for massive volume of shipment like over 1,000 boxes and more powerful tracking for lost shipment protection.

Thanks

how much u think they ( customs ) charge me for 4 ??

The thing to remember is that Customs tax you for the shipping too, so if you make 2 EMS orders and both orders get hit with charges, you'll pay double the VAT on the EMS shipping too.

The best way to avoid a big customs charge on 4 copies is to make 2 orders by regular post. Less chance of customs inspection that way, and if they get hit then you only get charged a Post Office handling fee of £8 per parcel instead of the Parcelforce/EMS charge of £13.50 per parcel.

If I understand correctly, there will be several wave, right ?

1 wave 3 days ($ 41.99)

and another wave later ($ 44.99)

No, i think after the first three days the pre-order is still live but at $44.99 and not $41.99, but however the price may rise earlier than 3 days if the 500 lenticulars sell out or the 250 quarter sell put... i.e. price rises after 3 days unless they sell 250 quarter slip versions, or 500 lenticular versions... either one of the two things can rise the price:
* after 3 days
* or before three days if they sell the first 500 lenti slip, or 250 quarter...

Sorry of i explained it badly because i just re-read it and didn't understand my own writing :hilarious:

Anyway, hope it helps

so from the way it looks since they charge you right away for the order even though its 2 months away,we're basically funding them to be able to produce the steels...very clever.

But the other option is more or less pay twice the price for someone else to get theirs for free :(

I really wish this kind of garbage wouldn't be tolerated on this forum. These are not opinions anymore. They are ludicrous, false, BS statements which only create suspicion and concern where there shouldn't be any.

KimchiDVD has been a Grade A retailer for years and years, run by the most genuinely honest, and customer focused people to the satisfaction of collectors all over the world. They go out of their way to bring us great product, decent shipping options, really solid packaging, great "aftercare" in case there's a problem, and they stay away from false promises.

They do not deserve to have someone run off at the mouth, posting crap like this on a public forum. All it does is create unnecessary hesitation and more questions that have already been answered hundreds of times before.

Yes. KimchiDVD charges your card / PP before they ship. Get over it, or just stay away from them.

Well, I won't be ordering this when it goes live.

I forgot about the release and I have no money for this steel. Hopefully it won't sell out too quick.

you must not know anything about retailing.this is not common practice my friend....you're in the minority when it comes to agreeing getting your credit card being charged prematurely.so you can get over it newbie...

Riiiiight....so K2DVD and YesAsia are baddies, too? They both do the same thing, but YesAsia is sneaky about it, and just "reserves" the money for the entire duration, until they finally take it out when the item is shipped.

I don't know anything about running a retailing business, no. I do know about legit retailers, their service, their honesty, and how i want to be treated as a customer. Clearly, with most of the high profile Blu-ray releases selling out on their website within the first few days to 2-3 weeks, i'm not in the minority on this. If you can't see this store is legit, and you want to hang on to this attitude of yours, that's your loss, and i couldn't care less. I do care about nonsense being posted on a forum, steering new customers away from a purchase for no reason, and having them forced to go down the ebay road to pay double.

Your "newbie" comment is highly entertaining. In spite of being slightly agitated with this situation, that made for a good laugh.

i respect their business.i never said they weren't legit.i don't mean any disrespect with my fellow member here.i just wished they charged at a much later time closer to release date.that's all the comment i was making.its all good...

I'm looking at potentially 4 copies (2 of each), can i order these in one order and select non-EMS shipping?

Don't think so. On the Lenticular page it says 'Over the 3 copies(Including Quater slip) : EMS only' and on the Quarter Slip page it says '* Over the 3 copies(Including Lenticular slip) : EMS only '

So I'm guessing even if you mix the different steels you'll only be able to get EMS if you order over 3.

Huh? Why would you pay twice the EMS shipping price? And risk customs twice?

Why not just order them all as one shipment and save yourself some money?

Do you think they will agree to put a value og less than 30usd on the package with 4 copies in it? And will the customs fall for it?

so i can't ( can but better not to) order 4 using EMS because it's gonna be easy target for customs. and i can't split 2+2 beacuse kimchi not allowed. yes?

I ordered 2 steelbooks and 2 digipacks in one order and quoted $50 on the invoice marked and marked I as a gift and din get stung by customs.

Thanks mate and i'm guessing I cant break these 2 orders so I dont have to pay EMS? EMS is quicker but the chance of getting hit by customs is greater so i'd rather just standard shipping!
