I got my copy from ebay today and wow the steelbook looks fantastic. It does have some hair line scratches on the gloss sections is this common with this steel?

Very Common. Awesome steelbook though. I bought 2 and both had small scratches all over the gloss. In 3 seconds though I will get a reply from someone who didn't open this or any of their steels and will say Mine is 100% percent mint. No scratches at all except you cannot see under the slipcover.

That's a shame, for the price these high end steelbooks cost they should be perfect. At least the scratches on this are not too noticeable.

I agree but I do notice that a lot of my High Gloss steelbooks have scratches especially the expensive ones. My Wreck it Ralph, Rio and Pacific Rim Blufans as an example all have little scratches everywhere. I am never going to sell my collection but it does irk me when I see it.
