That was my understanding aswell, and the reason I voted for option 2.

I love the new back art, but maybe its just me, but i think the front art was better in the poll artwork with no LEON in the background and with the other font for the title.

IMO this would be the perfect artwork (minus the arrows ), and i personally love the zero finish similar to T2
Regardless of artwork, i trust Kimchi will do a great job

Still hoping that Natalie and Leon's face will be gloss laminate. Choi can you confirm or deny please.

Front and back is zero finish like T2.
Not dull looking matte finish.

Letter on the background is glossy.

Scanavo HK strongly recommend Kimchi to do zero finish instead of full glossy because of manufacturing defect.

I'm sure it will look awesome... but I'm curious as to what you mean. Is Scanavo is having issues with manufacturing defects with gloss finish at the moment or something? Tangled gloss was incredible but it did have issues with yellow spotting in some areas. Is that what you mean?

Yes, jimmy.

Manufacturing defect like light scratch, different color spot, paint chip etc.

They need to get some big brains on the task and solve the f**king problem instead of going cheap IMHO. If They continue to insist on pushing their matte package on customers they are going to shoot themselves in the foot.

Maybe they should contact the good folks over at Metal Pack who seemed to have perfected the gloss process.

Agreed about METALPAK. Their gloss is AMAZING! Case in point, the new Jing Dong Exclusives. That Terminator Salvation is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!

I'd rather put up with the occasional microscopic yellow dots and tiny paint chips on a glossy, bright, and colorful steelbook instead of the streaky, flat, and washed out images on most of these matte efforts Scanavo have been producing as of late.

Well...that's all subjective really. Personally I'm liking the kimchi artwork much more than the UK artwork, and we've been more involved with the final decision with kimchi. But the only way we'll know for sure is once they are released and we've seen the different quality of finishes.

Kimchi version

Kimchi version would have to have been full gloss with lots of embossing and debossing! Not going to be spending another £15 on top just because it's colour. Last Kimchi I got was pretty poor to say the least "Le Grand Bleu" Asians steels don't interest me unless they are Blufan Face/Off quality.

That's the date that Kimchidvd has it listed on their "Coming Soon" page. I'd take that as confirmation.

Agreed, I think we need to lose the background text on the front. Maybe just gloss Leon's face and title. Keep the Matilda text on the back, but only in the background. Matilda needs to be glossed in order to fully stand out.
