The difference is the Kimchi comes with Art Card + Numbering Card
not be seen on the photo at yesasia.

And that's what makes it exclusive? :dunno:

too bad that steel will appear outside from kimchi...
thats not what i call a "exclusive"

:(

Gotta agree with this. Kimchi designed this entire package including the steelbook. Makes me wonder if they allocated a chunk of the full slip version to another retailer because it wasnt selling well. Bottom line is thats its a bit disheartening when the word exclusive means almost nothing anymore. They should all have an asterisk next to it...

Exclusive*

*If it sells out quickly.

Is it exactly the same though on YA? T2 was missing the artcards. This will be missing the numbered card on YA (maybe more, haven't checked).

I don't see this as that bad. For catalogue titles it's going to be a push to make less than 4000 without pushing up the price of the item. Kimchi don't want to be stuck with lots of copies they can't sell so it goes to other sellers without some of the 'exclusive elements'.

This is why I wouldn't be surprised if Iron Man had a Kimchi Exclusive and a non-exclusive with less in it.

Thor was a new release and that was much smaller run spread out over all Asia hence the 1000 Kimchi sold which was probably the entire KR allocation.

But the strange thing is with these catalogue titles like Leon and IM is that Kimchi is designing them from scratch. Not the same as taking a split on a worldwide run like monsters univ and thor 2.

Might be because they are a retailer that listen to feedback and want to make the steel for collectors whilst being mindful of the cost. As these would be the first steels on the Korean market of all the movies they've released as exclusives it would make sense for studios to make a great package that would sell in the long run.

In all honesty I don't know for sure, it's just speculation with a bit of business sense thrown in ;) I do think though that Kimchi are one of the best retailers out there and do make an awesome package. If a watered down version shows up somewhere else then It's not the end of the world for me.

Right bud. I agree with all of this . Im one of kimchis biggest supporters. But my quote that you replied to here was referencing the discussion in this thread.
