Might be worth mentioning that the additional footage in special features actually make up the extra footage in the directors cut*

*not really a directors cut but an extended version put out by WB and marketed as the directors cut

Still hopeful as the extra scenes are in HD that they may have been re-instated.

I highly doubt it but I can always hope.

Fingers crossed for you buddy.

Really wish these company's would get their press releases correct though to avoid confusion.

Well if this isn't the directors cut with the footage in the film itself it's going straight back as there's no need to have it as I already have the other set

I agree, the boxset costs less than this steelbook so if it is just the first disc I will not be too happy (Will still keep it though)

Same here, if this turns out to be the same disc in the boxset, I'll send mine back also. Make sure they don't make you pay return postage for an item not as described.

Mine's dispatched although I'm not going to open it until I know what version this is so I can at least return it should it not be the extended version

There is no Directors Cut on Blu ray

The Additional Scenes are on the Blu ray as an extra
I have not seen any Blu ray release yet were the Additional Scenes are integrated into the film

If it is integrated then this would be the first ever Blu ray release to be the Directors Cut
I would be surprised if this is a new Blu ray as I expect its just the previous UK Blu ray

If this release is the Theatrical version you do have the Additional Scenes in HD as an extra

Lethal Weapon and Die Hard are two of my favourite Christmas movies. Ho Ho Ho!

Murtaugh - Remarks like that will not get you invited to Christmas dinner.
Riggs - My luck's changing for the better every day.

There is hope after all as Warner manufactured new discs for The Green Mile and Gremlins lately. I'm going on Zavvi's word and hoping the description is a copy and paste job.

If that is the case they really shouldn't be calling it a directors cut so hopefully this isn't the case otherwise I'm think they will be seeing a lot of returns for this title.

Actually. The feature presentation disc are the same as the previously released disc

All they did was create a new bonus disc to accompany it
