So, how are they doing up till now?
Yes, it's true that all of these look better in full gloss and that embossing gives the steelbook the de luxe feel and look and the impression that the collector is getting more for his/her cash but as we've already had those over the yearsI like to take the view that something different is called for . . . such as these new lenticular releases.
That being said, possibly releases in the future with lentis part of this collection could be in full gloss with at least the titles embossed (?)

Anyway, time will tell if future releases with lentis will remain zero finish without embossed titles . . .

The 14 released at the time of writing:-

Another Disney steelbook in collection. I like it.

Now, I waiting for next. Maybe Atlantis, Home on the Range, Meet the Robinson or Bolt? :)

This sold out last week on Zav and I was lucky to pick one up from the bay at the weekend for under £13 sealed

Up to date with the Disney collection now.

Lenti is actually pretty decent too. Not amazing but better than some of their efforts

Sold out in six months when nearly all of the other titles in the Disney lenticular wave are still in stock (the exceptions being Frozen, The Lion King and Finding Nemo). With Lilo & Stitch being among the first to sell out, I hope Disney will be encouraged to focus on the remaining animated classics that haven't yet been given the steelbook treatment. Bring on 'Oliver & Co', 'Bolt' and 'The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh'. I'd also be all over 'The Black Cauldron' if they'd only see fit to publish it on Blu-Ray.

That won't happen with this release
None of the Disney Classic steelbooks dropped to a price that low

Only big price drops was to £9.99 and that only happened with Little Mermaid and Jungle Book and that was only because Disney doubled the original print run from 5,000 each to 10,000 each

Zavvi did not let that happen again with later releases they was mostly 4,000 or 3,000 or 2,000 print runs

This will sell well as it's one of the wanted releases repeatedly asked for on HDN and has not had a steelbook before
Now part of zavvi's 2 for £18.

Now part of zavvi's 2 for £18.
Some stock left over and it's £13.99 on it's own
Lot of Disney previous releases ended up in a buy 2 for £18 or similar price range like 2 for £20 or Buy one get one free

The only releases to drop on their own to £9.99 or less without an offer was Jungle Book and The Little Mermaid

Yes, just received my copy . . . really, really nice steelbook and probably my favourite of this particular lenticular wave.
Decent lenti with good depth compared to most of the others + no alignment issues.
Good price too

Highly recommended.

As someone who's new to the steelbook collecting hobby, it's crazy how cheap some of them were going for in the past. The prices on eBay for the Lilo & Stitch steelbook now is ridiculous. :offtopic:

Feel your pain. I had to pay eBay prices for the Iron Man Play.com, and Thor/Captain America HMV releases as they'd been and sold out when I first started collecting.

On a side note, really wish we'd get the remaining few Disney films that weren't released on steelbook (The Black Couldron, Oliver & Friends etc) but don't think we'll ever see them now...
