Hey Darc-yeah, the reason I thought about a slip, is because someone posted a few pages back that the Taiwan ed would be 'different',and the pic he posted was, was looked like a slipcover. Gladiator and Avatar Taiwan also had full slips. We'll have to see, but I contacted Yesasia over the weekend, to ask if they'd be adding this and the other Taiwan SB's to their site, soon, if they weren't there already.Hopefully that helps some US fans order in an easier fashion.

I see what post you're talking about now. Missed it before. I recant my original statement lol. That would be pretty cool if it came with a slip cover actually. I reached out to them about the Transformers 3 listing, to see if it's possibly a steelbook, and they said they would check with the relevant department and get back to me.

Is it because slipcover is more desirable? I thought collectors prefer not having any Asian lettering in a Hollywood movie....

Mayflower-I think it just depends on the collector-some don't want non-English covers, and others don't mind at all. Some like slipcovers, some are indifferent to them, etc. I think since Gladiator had one, and it became a somewhat 'rare' edition, people started paying attention. But some members just love slipcovers (we have a whole other area of forum, discussing this hobby). Welcome again to the site,by the way!:)

In regards to Gladiator the finish on the steelbook itself was far superior than the other white European versions. The slip thrown on it was a bonus for sure, but the steel itself had shiny print effects and inside artwork.

ahhh, thanks a lot!

I always like to collect "cool" and "rare" items.... the fun of this hobby. :scat:
