Yes its crap we all dont get exclusive slip, we dont even get the chance to join in, been buying from them since the day they started steels and spend a small fortune on steels still.
But yet im not give option to join, im sure they could offer a similar membership for us international customer's

God my heart bleeds.

At least they offer international shipping it's about time zavvi started prioritizing loyal UK customers and not screwing us with inflated prices to subsidize foreign customers.

No offense intended towards overseas collectors, just pisses me off how we don't look after our own and I get the impression many US based collectors think it's their god given right to be able to buy from UK with cheap shipping.

But it's OK for UK collectors to pay through the noses to obtain Best Buy, Target exclusives.

*Note: Zavvi shipping to the U.S. doubled last year.

Shipping costs went up globally not just for US customers partially due to COVID but also because your country decided to up prices.

International Mail Prices to US Set to Skyrocket

Not zavvi's fault their just passing on prices to customer.
That doesn't really hold water. I order from other UK sites that did have a price spike in shipping. and their rate increase was well before Covid.

A shame that we can't order this from the US. This is my favorite RJ movie and the slipcase edition looks awesome. Any chance there's going to be a group buy for this?

@thecuze
You might be able to order the slipcase edition after release date by using the buy now trick if it's still available by then

When release date arrives click buy now and it should add to basket

Note you don't use the purchase link from this thread or click on the listing itself on zavvi website as all that will do is bring you to the home page

On release date goto Zavvi UK website by setting region and language to UK
S
teelbooks and sort by newest arrivals and when you see the slipcase listing only click buy now
You will have to wait until release date to try this

If you not aware
You don't need to Zavvi USA website to order products you can use Zavvi UK website and you will also see some items on Zavvi UK that don't show up on Zavvi USA

I like it! Nice clean, consistent design across both steel and slip. I have a real soft spot for this film too... Johnson is super underrated if you ask me.

Personally I think Knives out has put him on the map more than last Jedi did. Everyone seems to love that film. And rightly so. But man I love brick and looper

Knives Out is definitely up there as one of his best! I didn't mind Last Jedi either... although it did kind of force the prequel trilogy down a different path, I found it to be very bold and enjoyable as its own movie. I think he'll do a great job of writing and directing his own trilogy though.

Yep on it’s own it works fine. Get rid of the casino scene and it’s great. But also annoyed he/ they tried to change its path with all its bullsh!t that they then corrected in rise.

It’s like there’s an obvious gap where the title should be

sigh...
As you know ROW steels are destined for multiple non-English speaking territories so the original language title printed on the front of a steel is not universally popular and it would of course be much more costly to print a translated title for each. Personally I'd favour original language titles on steels where there's space for one - such as on the latest TOY STORY 4 - and where it doesn't mess with the artwork too much.
The fact that the title is on the spine is much, much more important to me and it's obviously much cheaper just to print a spine title and cheap is the way of manufacture for most of the steels nowadays - you just have to compare a recent Disney steel with an example from a few years back when you had top class embossing or debossing on most.

It could be argued that some steels just look better without text on the front ...

... and it could also be argued that some steelbooks with titles would look better without ...

The coolest steels (IMO) are those where the title is incorporated in the design:-

Subjective, but the above steelbooks aren't great and are fairly poor examples of where titleless fronts work well. BoP and arrival (apart from the finish) being the exceptions imo. Dirty dancing doesn't really count either, as the pet slip has the title.

Anyone in the U.S. can order from Zavvi UK.
He meant the slipcase edition that's a red carpet exclusive

If slipcase edition is still available on or after release date there is a trck to purchase if you not a red carpet subscriber but you have to wait until release date when it's in stock and showing buy now
