So I guess I'm in.
...the love of a woman must not interfere in the affairs of steelbook art...

You will have ppl that complain about every retailer no matter how the art looks. You also will have ppl that bash some retailers to prop up others. There will be pessimism with every release and with every retailer. This is something I think we should all expect at this point. But as said before, this release looks to be another amazing one. I also like the fact that they choose a movie that deserved a proper release as well.it seems that some people are never happy. When there is no Title front of FullSlip they keep complaining that it should have one and so on...now there is one and no one mentions it, and on this FullSlip as I always said ''FA knows'' when a Title works better ''on the Front'' or ''without it''. But its like can't complain about this now, so lets find out what else we can complain about.
Second, posters with so many characters/elements filling up every space of the Poster are wayyyyy too busy artworks for an FAC FullSlip. FA did a superb ''Classy Simplistic FullSlip'' that feels Fresh with very nice color tones and it is heaven. I don't want a movie poster with a ton of Characters and other elements slapped on the FullSlip ending up looking like something we have seen before that could have been made by anyone, they just got it right as always. And as always, when FullSlip is finally released/in hands, people go crazy and rave about it and most of the time are the same people who were complaining about it in the first place.

Cynicism, Pessimism, and Narcissism are the particular 'isms' that dominate culture right now.
if you speak about our western civilisation, that one is indeed condemned to fail since a while now.
I am not pessimistic about western culture at all. I'm annoyed by a lot of things in it- but the gains in just the last 50 years are astounding. If you just watched the news you would not Know that crime is down, murder is down, people are living longer...there is a lot to be optimistic about. The problem is people and the news find schadenfreude in reporting the bad....as if there ever was just ONE culture.if you speak about our western civilisation, that one is indeed condemned to fail since a while now.
and for the looper steelbook: only 1 copy this time for me. the fullslip looks horrible imo. (reminds me of the "point break" zavvi steel a bit), but i like the steelbook art, and the lenti and other extras is something i wanna see in hand.
It is not great...it is F**king awesome!!Never seen this so blind buy. Kinda nervous though as I heard its not great!
When I first saw it, I thought there was something off with the slipcover - but I later realised it was the bad photoshop cropping that was putting me off rather than the slip design (I can only assume a background was removed from the pics or something).I love FilmArena and have every release to date but I can't stop the voice in my head saying "I don't like the Full Slip Cover". I want to like it but I simply don't. This is my first ever negative comment regarding FA and hopefully it will be the last.
In my opinion this is FA's first fail.
There are so many steels that look 'ho-hum' or 'pedestrian' in pics- and then you get them, and you say "my god, this is gorgeous!" (Mondo Ex Machina is an example)When I first saw it, I thought there was something off with the slipcover - but I later realised it was the bad photoshop cropping that was putting me off rather than the slip design (I can only assume a background was removed from the pics or something).
Due to this, I think the slip looks much better in the beauty shot compared to the two stand alone shots.
No doubt Film Arena will also do something nice with the slip to make it look much better in-person than it ever can in the mock-up (e.g. spot gloss/gloss and/or embossing, etc.)

Agree, apart from Nova's John Wick, which actually looks pretty awesome simplifiedAsian slips are always so colorful.

Of course vice versa too! (That Zavvi Crow was such crap!)![]()
Great looking set, The only problem I have with this one is I like both sides of the steelbook art so where to put the Lenti Magnet?
that's a good problem to have.It varies - John Wick box set comes with an A2 one, whereas Terminator 3 comes with an A4 one.Anyone who has received a poster from FA, what size are they, A4 or A3??
