Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:

1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund

2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

Short question: I ordered Looper from zavvi.

When I have to type in my delivery address, it says House numer and below street.

So my delivery address is:

"My name"
"14"
"street"

Is this right? Never seen this before^^ Normally you have the street + number in one line.

as the dreaded 'dispatched email never arrived from hmv (thank god!!), i ordered from zavvi last night.
this is a great opportunity for zavvi to step up an become the new opponent against amazon!! in my experience, although i haven't preordered from them in a long time, their dispatch times are generally better than amazon's. we shall see if that is still the case............

It's not uncommon for me to order something with free delivery on Amazon and actually receive it the next day, or at the very least the day after that.

The fastest time I ever received an item from amazon when I lived on the UK was 5 days on standard. I ordered a game once using Next Day and it arrived after 3. From then on I only used amazon when I didn't care about timing which is rare.
