They won't cancel orders already placed at £19.99, will they? :(
Of course not. We've just become used to stable pre-order prices at Zavvi. Nothing to worry about. At least I'm not worried about my pre-order at the lower price  :D

Today Zavvi sent out a mailshot stating that only limited stock remains for this steelbook.

If in the weeks and months ahead this remains in stock, then here is the link to make an official complaint against Zavvi to the Advertising Standards Authority http://www.asa.org.uk

A simple process that there will be no need for if Zavvi are correct, in that this seemingly low demand steelbook has in fact sold by the bucket load to people who choose not to post in collectors forums their insatiable desire for this collectible item.

Who really cares? Company in trying to sell product shock! They know some collectors are gullible so will go and buy it, the item starts limited edition so what are the parameters for Zavvi sending out an email saying limited stock remains if it was limited in the first place? Why people get so upset about these things ill never know

In other news this would look brilliant as a futurepak that opens fully and flat to see her full face, maybe embossed....

liking the art on this, back matching the front with a splash of colour on the inside. Think this will look great in hand.

Complain about what? It's a limited edition, so there's limited stock left. It doesn't make any difference whether they have 4 copies or 4000, they have limited stock.

This was a great film, it should sell well. The design is good and if the finish, details, and actual photos of this release are good, this could be quite desirable.

I reckon this will retail at £10 in the coming months, and the price increase is merely an attempt to deflect cancellations by making gullable collectors believe they've snagged a bargain.

Shoot me down, for I smile at your nievety.
While that's possible, there's something you're not taking into account - some collectors are willing to pay more for certain titles to ensure they get it ASAP after release. There are some films I'll happily wait months for to pick up in the hope of a price drop, and others I want straight away even if it costs more in the long run.

Plus, while there are some pretty vocal people saying the film is terrible, I've seen just as many people say it's one of the best recent films they've seen, even within my place of work the people that have seen the film seem to be pretty much a 50/50 split for/against.

I'd be actually be surprised if the price dropped that much, I expect this to sell reasonably well simply because it has Scarlett Johansson in and was directed by Luc Besson.
The film's already made a lot of money - with an estimated budget of 40 million USD, it made 43 in the opening weekend in the US alone - and 314 million USD worldwide so far.

Interestingly, on IMDB the people that have rated it highest (average of 7.6/10) are females under 18. The most popular rating choice is 7/10 and 76.4% of people have rated it 6/10 or higher (58.3% 7/10 or higher).
