Truth. Better than going in blind though I guess. I've never really had to resort to preordering at Best buy, I'm just anticipating people/scalpers overcompensating after this fiasco

But the wife texted me this pic a little while ago! "Dont waste your time going to Best Buy after work, look what I got!" She said! F**K YEAH!!! I fu**ing love this woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe it's just Warner Bros. The last steelbooks at BBY released by them were the final Hobbit movie and the trilogy jumbo steel (correct me if I'm wrong). I seem to remember those didn't stay in stores for very long, very scarce by end of release week. But for Mad Max, it doesn't make sense to me how limited the number of copies per store. Then again, remember when WB made a cargo full of Dark Knight Rises steels? 
I ran by my BB just to see. No go. I ended up canceling my Avengers preorders because I have no faith in Best Buy to not do the same ****. I'd rather order from bestbuy.com and have them ship to my house and go in for a price adjustment, than preorder and not be able to secure a copy of something I paid for.

first I was in this store in Maine and this old F***er gets in my way and I had to shove him to the floor and grab the two copies from his hands and then laughed at him...
but here's my real story
So I got one copy from the BBY by my office, but getting the in store pick up has been odd for me today. I was having problems with in store pickup over all, but one order went through and I had it set up for a family member to pick up. So they went in and was being given a hard time by BBY staff saying she was not on the order and that she was not going to be given the item, while I was literally staring at the order with her name on it, add tot the fact that we have different last names and they were like ‘she doesn’t have the same last name’
So I sent her a screenshot of my order with her name as the person to pick up and when they looked they saw that order and gave it to her but apparently they have a second copy on hold for me, even though my account only shows one order. Gonna head over and pick that copy up

So just got back from bby to get my in store pickup. The guy at the bby shows me an email stating that best buy oversold the steelbook and are unable to fill the preorders and to offer customers a $10 giftcard as an apology for the mistake. It did not say this in the email but they were taking names if you did not want to take the gift card and keep the steelbook on order and they would call you when or if they ever got more in. I took the $10 card and picked up the 3d version.
Wow, this one time I pre-ordered because I wanted the digital copy to watch during my traveling the past 2 weeks and my copies came in the mail today without a scratch in that crazy cardboard packaging. Such strange and crazy times. Sorry to hear those who were not able to secure a copy.
My steelbook doesn't snap shut properly. This is a VERY cheap feeling steelbook. I'm assuming this was made at the Scanavo U.S. factory? Seems like mostly crap comes from there lol.
