So Maleificent arrived today. Nice simple design. Bit of spot gloss on Maleificents' lips and eyes.

That back art on the original steel would be awesome. But I’m more than happy with the original with no back art compared to this. Front finish is a disappointment

I definitely like a good bossing but due to the lack of backartwork at the first edition, I prefer the re-release.

Comparing the new one to the previous is quaint especially when the original is one of the very few releases with twinbossing and a standout example which will be in most folks' Top 10 favourite UK steels of all time.
The new one in the UK - despite its lovely back - is sadly lacking in other departments including missing a front title and spot gloss eyes instead of metallic reflections (or even glow-in-the-dark) and is as usual nowadays at a disadvantage when compared to its full gloss US sibling:-

Maybe they feel it's nobody's business but theirs. Which is true. It is their business after all.

More like the print runs are much higher nowadays and they don’t like to say it. They know a lot of them stick around now (Disney/ Pixar) unlike before, prices have risen and if they state 4000 or higher then they know most will wait until a price drop.

they only really say when it’s limited to 1000/ 2000 because they know it will sell quicker. That and the odd WWA with a small unknown print run that sells out instantly like the recent brightburn.
