Man Of Steel has been announced for the UK. Artwork is as the German Edition.
It will be 2D/3D BD.
Pre order goes live this coming Friday (23rd) and release date is 2nd December.
Looks to be a store wide release.

Wow glad I never got this and went for the US limited edition instead. Even the 3D lenticular looks much better than this. Steelbooks with the exception of a few have really been stuck in the doldrums lately. Far too many are being made now and the lack of quality is evident with releases like this.

£17.99 in HMV (Poole today), also picked up The Hobbit 3D jumbo for £17.99, much more like it price-wise!


Unfortunately I will not get to have a proper look at this until Christmas morning.

im getting this for xmas so just has a sneek in HMV at lunch. It isnt as bad as some are making it out but there is no need for the 3d to be on either the spine or the front. cant wait to watch again though

You can't really blame zavvi or amazon for the pictures not having 3D on the steelbook they only display the image that they're given by the distributor.

Of course you can....when every other Man of Steel steelbook out there from different counties/shops have already established, final artwork long before the film actually ships.

They could of updated it but they didn't...they knew people were most likely to buy it because they know people don't like "3D" slapped on it.

It may be pointless to complain it some peoples eyes but I see people moan on here against Zavvi for such smaller things....yet when they are actually in the wrong people just think "....meh, what's the point"

So this was a bit embarrassing, as my copy had already been dispatched from Amazon before I had chance to cancel I opened up a returns case with them - not only did DPD turn up today to pick up the steelbook to return to Amazon when it hadn't even arrived yet it turns out it hasn't arrived full stop today!!

How did the US get the same steelbook with gloss finish and some with a lenticular, I imagined the UK version would have had the same gloss finish and lenticular, similar to life of pi. It looks dull, plain and this film deserve better, how can anyone say this is nice to hold and look at, is beyond me. Grey steel with no decent artwork what so ever on it and boring matte finish feels cheap errrrr am so mad right, its getting returned printing amazon returns label immediately, I will get me a glossy steel for this and get a 3d disc later.
